Hungry Bear — Restaurant in Hang Tuah Jaya Municipal Council

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! DON'T TRUST THE OTHER 5 STARS REVIEWS HERE!! Only giving 1 star to submit a Google review. Based on my visit on Saturday, this place does NOT deserve any stars!

We were a table of 10, had to call staff for order to be taken. Itupun only one VERY confusing set of menu was given. Only after almost an hour, 2 out of 3 pizzas that we ordered came. Waited for some time, thinking we'd be given plates. Nope! Had to use sign language from outside to the counter staff.

Then 1 out of the 2 pitchers of drinks came. We later observed that the place didn't have enough tablewares to go around! There were only 4 other tables, none as big as ours. We had to tell the kids to slow down on the eating in case the next food was gonna come much later.

After almost 1.5 hours, a plate of fries came. We ordered 2! I was so annoyed atp because we were obviously fooled by the rave reviews we saw on social media of this place. I went up to the counter and asked the specky guy when can we get our food. he gave me the standard answer of, "Oh kita akan hantar kejap lagi." At this point, it was 8min to 10PM, kedai sebelah pun dah tutup shutters, bang.

I told him after 1.5hours we've only gotten 3 items from our order. He asked me, really? Then he took out a piece of blank paper and a pen and asked me what we haven't received. Why would I be the one telling him that? He printed out the receipt for my table and I read out to him the pending items. Again, he said they'll send them out, I asked him how much longer? He said not sure because 'everyone got there around the same time'. Err.. Why is that a customer's problem?

I told him how we've observed him just standing at the counter doing nothing, not helping the situation at all. Told him, he could be the one going around to check if everyone's gotten their order. Asked him why can't they send out the same items from our order at the same time? 3 pizzas, 2 fries, 2 jugs of drinks. He didn't have an answer.

We went there to celebrate my mom's birthday. Ended up going elsewhere for a much better food and...

This is a western restaurant located in the Bukit Beruang area. The set up of this restaurant is cosy. Nice place to have a quiet meal.

This restaurant specialises in pasta, pizza and some western breakfast menu. Their menu is reasonably wide in choices.

Their prices are reasonable. Cash, e-wallet and credit cards are accepted here.

Service is fast and reasonable.

Cleanliness is good.

Parkings are road side parkings and the parking spaces in a nearby open air car park.

A nice cosy restaurant within a busy locality. The food is nice and tasty. Has a decent variety with vege options. The servers are polite and helpful. The service is a little slow due to less helping hands. The ambience is nice with ample seating areas both inside and outside the restaurant. Need a little maintenance, esp the light outside the restaurant and other stuff. Payment can be made by cash, card, and QR. Parking is not difficult to get...
