Kesavan has LOST its glory days from what it was 20 years ago. We went there today and the food was rubbish. Tengga palam appam is supposed to be thin on the outer side and thick in the center and white. It came thick all over like an appam and light brown. Veethu tosai came 5mm thick. Since when veethu tosai became so thick as that? Roti canai .... gone was that fluffy soft rotis. Today it was very sad sitting on the plate in front of us (thick and non fluffy but fire hot). The standard curries that came along with the food were all watery. Since when Indian restaurants started serving curries that are watery? I also ordered Cow's milk Bru coffee with less sugar. They only got the less sugar right but dam, they don't know how to make a simple Bru coffee being an Indian restaurant.
Service wise, they were prompt in taking orders and serving the food. This I saw a very good improvement since there were a lot complains in this area. The chutney was chilli hot and that was good.
On an overall judgement, this restaurant does NOT fit to be called an Indian restaurant, at least for breakfast. I doubt I am going to come again or experience...
Read moreI have been dining in this place more than 6 years. Tmn.U and Selesa Jaya is my most frequented outlet. I’m from a international franchise F&B Director and my f/back as below;
Please use clean uniforms (sometimes the smell is unbearable) Use disposable gloves to handle the food items Dont let outsiders to be in the serving area and personally handling food as if they’re in father’s house Control your condiments for take aways as it always ends up in the bin While the restaurant owner maybe a practicing doctor but you should pay attention to your restaurant all the same. My repeat visit to the outlet is for the personalized service and improved menus. Selesa Jaya interior and exterior must be maintained clean and presentable.Sometimes I feel walking into a abandoned building! Take care and have...
Read moreI had a delightful dining experience at this Indian restaurant. The culinary offerings are a highlight, especially for vegetarians. However, the iced tea may not suit everyone's taste, leaning more towards an iced milk flavor.
Timing is key here; I recommend visiting for lunch or dinner to avoid extended wait times. Breakfast at 9.30 a.m. took around 40 minutes, but the well-cooked poori and its side dish made it worthwhile. If you're not in a rush, breakfast can be a good choice.
The atmosphere adds to the overall enjoyment with its vibrant setting and good music. It creates a lively backdrop for savoring the delicious Indian dishes.
The staff deserves commendation for their politeness, contributing positively to the overall ambiance and customer...
