Authentic Hock Chew (Fuzhou) food at wallet friendly prices. The red lees chicken mee sua might be a little bland when it's served but there's a bottle of home-made wine at every table which you can add to spruce up the taste.

The hock chew noodles we ordered were unfortunately burnt (I appreciate fried dishes with wok hei but these were charred past the point of smokiness to where it's bitter and unpleasant).

I also tried the various stir-fried offerings such as Fermented Beancurd Fried Pork Ribs, Fried Mani Vegetables and Brinjal with Minced Meat. These all turned out pleasant and complemented the Red Lees Mee Sua well.

The Red Lees Fried Rice tasted like an ordinary plate of fried rice. Nothing wrong with that, as long as you're not expecting a strong tasting dish with red lees flavour.

The power went out while we were dining in the middle of a hot and humid day and it took a while before it was restored, which made the environment a little unpleasant. However, the service staff did their best to restore the power so we can't really fault...

Craving for Malaysian food but the food here became so expensive. The food I just showed here cost me RM$140 for lunch! Ripping off in my view.. this served Fuzhou cuisine in Yong Peng.. chicken is quite tasteless inside.. the fried noodle tasted like cooking with soya sauce. The Vege is unique but don’t demand such high price meal. The fish ball is rather bland and Fuzhou soup ball just average. The random order of fish head with soy bean sauce rather salty! Avoid this stall and shall eat the next door of ba kut teh ! Overcharged and do ask the price before...

BEWARE!!! Highly not recommend for tourists to eat here. The owner of the shop insisted my families to order six dishes saying that the servings were not enough for the four of us. However, all of the dishes were served in medium portion and my families were having a hard time enjoying the food (trying to finish all the food). Hence, it is undeniable that the owner of the shop was trying to earn more money off us (tourists) as the price for the meal was already RM105 with just two meat dishes. Totally unbelievable and...

For tourists who are planning to travel to Yong Peng, there are 3 places you all must visit. 1) The Fortune Dragon. 2) The Ji Gong Temple. 3) Restaurant Fook Chew, this Restaurant is 30 over years of history operate by two Fook Chew couples, all the Fu Chew dishes are delicious, the price is reasonable, boss recommendations are just nice, the service is very good. Whenever I and my family go to Yong Peng, we sure will be there for lunch.
