I recently visited Pekin Desa Cemerlang, and while the restaurant boasts tasteful decor, the dining experience left me with mixed feelings. Situated further away from the main shopping area, the ambience and interior design were commendable, offering a serene escape from the hustle and bustle. However, the culinary journey was less impressive. The Pekin duck, a star on their menu, gave me a sense of mediocrity. The meat lacked the desired tenderness, and the overall taste was average. Additionally, the accompanying pancake felt disappointingly cold upon arrival, diminishing the overall dining experience. The fresh oysters with cheese were another letdown. Having farewell dinner for our IT colleague (hope you have a wonderful journey ahead), with a small group of colleagues. Nice gathering with good sharing as well. We ordered a fish (if can reduce 1 to 2 minutes, the meat will taste better), special port rib (real huge rib), prawn, tohu and veggie. O, Peking duck too. Then added one specialty of the restaurant according to one of our colleague, stir fry mee sua, taste good. Not many customers, maybe it was Monday.

Read morewe booked 3 tables in a priavte room a month ago with 24 adults, have checked with them if one table can fit 12 but they said it will be very squeezy. in fact, the table is too big for the 8 which we believe it's enough and the atmosphere will be much better if more of us sharing the table instead of sitting with gaps. another issue is the pekin duck we ordered for medium size. it came with only 6 servings and alot of meats served aside. how could u serve 6 rolls for 8. i asked for big portions in other dishes but they advised multipe times that medium is enough, then the servings that u served are not for 8, not to mention the table is designed for 10. we ordered 10 dishes including cold dishes excluding dessert, nothing amazed us. it may be accpetable for wedding dinner if you're cooking for more than 10 tables but unacceptable for small gatherings. beverages are topped up only once throughout the 3 hrs. very disappointed experience. avoid here if you want a decent,...
