First and last visit and won't even recommend this kopitiam. Very dissatisfied with the unprofessional customer service.
We were told that the order we made was sold out as the staff who served us told us that they didn't expect such overwhelming crowd on that day (Sunday). However, after a while, we saw the customers (at least 2 tables) who queued behind us were served with the dish we wanted to order.
Out of curiosity and feeling doubtful, we asked the same staff again. She then told us that because the customers were willing to wait for 20-30 minutes. (?) In the first place, she never informed us that we had to wait but straight forwardly told us the food was SOLD OUT. We felt unfair as we also queued for long (at least 25 minutes) before entering the restaurant. It only left us with more questions to ask the staff!
We never said we could not wait. If we were able to see other customers dining it means we were still in the restaurant (dined for more than 30 minutes). Basically the staff was not able to answer our questions, and said that the food order from the 2 tables was not taken by her, and then she could only kept quiet with a grumpy face.
TBH we were 'forced' to choose the food we were not so keen as most of the dishes were sold out (including rice) and honestly I felt like I wanted to leave since many food are not available. BTW not to mention that the portion is small with such price tag.
Anyway, it's okay to be inexperienced but the key takeaways for this restaurant is to train your staff to be more vigilant when serve customers to deal with such situations. They could have come back to customers to update the latest status should...
Read moreThis neighborhood kopitiam seems to be trending since they started their social media blitz. Since it’s nearby our place, we drop by to check out the food. Overall the place is clean and tidy. Most of the time there’s a queue waiting especially during peak meal times but it’s quick. Service is prompt. As for the food, the curry mee we ordered has a fairly big portion that easily fed two pax. Topped with so much ingredients from siham, siew yuk, fu chok, meat ball, chicken drumstick etc., it’s well worth the money. The curry taste is good and just the right amount of spiciness. The dry curry chicken mee was ok but too salty for my taste. Again I find the portion on the large side. The chili pan mee which my daughter had said it was good. We will be back next time for breakfast to try out their...
Read moreNice, clean, air conditioned shop. Came on weekday and not much crowd, always see long queues on weekend.
Ordered the curry chicken noodles (RM10.90) with the mee sg lembing and mihun. Comes with chicken drumstick (but a bit over cooked/dry) as well as cockles. Taste is pretty good but on the spicy side.
Also had dried curry chicken noodles (RM10.90) which also came with whole drumstick. Opted for wantan mee which is topped with beansprouts and minced pork. Tasted good.
Duck egg char koay teow (RM14.90) was not bad, got wok hei and spicy taste as requested. Their version comes with pork slices and prawns. If you want siham have to add on.
Hainam tea was nice and thick.
