Drove 15km to try this much heralded roti canai store reputed for their mutton curry. We were not disappointed. The store is a shack along the main Jalan Desa Cheras road. The place was bustling and packed when we arrived at 10am. As we wanted to dine in, we had to place our order direct with the man who was also flipping roti canai and shouting to his team for the roti telur bawang (egg and onion roti) orders. We also ordered the mutton curry to accompany our roti. Diners can help themselves with the dhall and sambal in the big pots nearby. The roti was excellent: fluffy inside and crisp outside. The mutton curry was tasty with the meat tender and falling off the bones. But it was a bit pricey at RM15 a dish for 2 sizable pieces of meat. There’s a separate section for nasi campur and you order your drinks directly at the drink counter. The stall operates by a trust system. You order your food and drinks etc, eat and then tell the lady owner, what you ate and she’ll tally up your meal charges...
Read moreA great breakfast spot with refreshing self-service system. Although there's quite a line for roti canai, but service was quite quick as they separated the lines into two (takeaway & dine-in).
There's buffet spread for Nasi Lemak and other lauk so overall quick to get food.
Everything is on self-service soo for sure uncles and aunties (like my parents) would hate the system a bit but I personally don't mind it especially when the food is SO GOOD!

Read moreWe arrived here around 6.45 am, right after Subuh prayer. It was not many people when we arrived.
The owner, Omar, himself prepared the roti canai. He is very friendly particularly to his regular customers.
The roadside stall, expanded into a restaurant, is spacious. There is a bus stop across the restaurant.
We ordered double plain roti canai with their signature kari kambing (lamb curry). The lamb is tasty big portion. The roti canai is also not bad.
They also serve local kuihs such as akok, kuih gulung etc. I would also try these kuihs, next time.
I can’t comment on the price since one of us paid for the whole orders.
I have been to that this restaurant is full of people...
