I went to OmmaSón for the first time with my friend during lunch time on a Friday. It was about 1.20 pm, the weather was quite hot and we opted to sit in the air conditioned part of the restaurant. However, we couldn’t really feel the air conditioning, perhaps the weather was too hot or tuning ups are needed for the air conditioners 🙏🏽.
The tables for couples are more than for family, hence if you have a large company, you will need to join some tables together.
Ordering is via scanned QR code and you will be required to pay online as well before order submissions. Should you face problems in payment, you may always ask for help from the friendly staff.
The food tasted homely and there are different drinks available, but we chose the Bubble mineral water (RM 3 each) and requested extra ice cubes (which are foc).
For the Beef Bibimbap, we added an extra fried egg. Tastewise, it is mild and not as flavourful as I couldn’t taste the Gochujang.
The rose Rabokki was not spicy for my heat level and I believe that it is a kids friendly dish. We also added extra quail eggs for this order. As this was my first time eating Rabokki, I’m not a good judge. But I am excited to explore Rabokki at other places too in the future.
The highlight of the lunch was the Mango Bingsu, which had satisfied our sweet tooths dessert cravings.
The total bill came to about RM68 and I would repeat my visit if I have the opportunity and would also like to try other menus as well.

Read moreJust returned from Korea last month and still in the mood for Korean food; was actually craving for Japchae.. but too bad, it was sold out tonight, takde rezeki..
We got caught in the traffic jam and only arrived at 10.15pm but alhamdulillah we were served well, restaurant closes at 12am.
Came with my whole family, all 14 of us! Most of us didn’t really know what to order so I just ordered something here and there so that everyone can have a taste of everything.
The kids of course loved the tteobokki! It was softer and not too chewy like the ones we had in Korea. And surprisingly us adults loved the mentai bulgogi the most! My personal favorite was the jajangmyeon, the noodles were the light non-chewy ones compared to the thick udon-like noodles I had in Korea, and the sauce was slightly sweet which was perfect for my tekak melayu. The sundubu jigae was yummy as well. Oh and everyone loved the mango and strawberry bingsu, so refreshing.
Overall, the taste here is much yummier than the food we had in Korea! And to know that no msg was added, is an amazing plus point! Usually after a Korean/chinese/soup meal, we’d have this thirst, as the effect of all the msg, but after eating here, there wasn’t any. MashaAllah their 8hours secret simmered soup recipe makes is all worth it.
So Alhamdulillah, I’m happy that a nice Muslim couple and their team, can bring such delicious Korean food to Bangi. InshaAllah we’ll surely come again. Hopefully this time I’ll get...
Read moreOrdered 3 dishes: jjampong, japchae and bulgogi bibimbap. The jjampong was tasty, I loved the soup but it wasn't accurate to the picture (the plating at least). There was quite a lot of octopus but cut up into small pieces and the mussels were very small too. But still, very satisfying. The japchae was good, flavour wise very delicious and came with kimchi. However, the potato noodles in it are supposed to be cut up with scissors before eating. Since it wasn't, we ended up with very long strands and made it a bit difficult to eat. Still worth it though. The bulgogi bibimbap, for its price of around RM23 (the most expensive out of the 3), wasn't as nice as expected. The gochujang sauce flavour wasn't very strong, which lead to a bit of a tasteless dish. Comes with lettuce, raw carrots, raw cucumber, beef, kimchi and a fried egg. Could have been better if the carrots and cucumber were stir fried briefly before hand, but that's just my preference. Mushrooms could be added too. It comes with a sesame oil tasting soup which isn't really my taste either.
I don't eat kimchi, but my boyfriend said that he liked the kimchi and it was better than most places he's eaten at.
The drinks are cheap, ranging from 2.20 to 5? So for an individual person, around RM19 and a drink of RM2.20 makes for a decent meal with good portions.
I would likely come back again if I'm craving japchae or jjampong. Will probably come back to try the sundubu jigae and...
