Restoran Al Khail — Restaurant in Kajang Municipal Council

This place has been around a while but still looks like new and is very clean. Old style with tables on the road out front etc with the big screen TV. But has 2 airconditioned areas with glass panels and doors which gives it another star. Bright and colourful at night gives a good vibe to the place even before you see the extensive 4 page menu. Minum was excellent, even the Ice blend Durian Belanda (Soursop) was close to perfect. Butter Naan and fish curry was everything I missed in this type of food and hit my culinary spot dead centre. Appam also was perfect in thickness, texture and taste. Only problem is I wish I lived closer so I could go there every day. It is not easy to find a place like this in KL let alone Kajang. Used to like this place because of the food and the service. But now not so much. The food is still great but the service is slowly going downhill except for that one particular uncle who is still awesome. The increase in price also doesn't help. The other day I bought a pack of white rice with curry and a bunch of kerak@crumbs from the fried chicken (I didn't take any piece of chicken at all) and they charged me RM5! Was in shock but I paid anyway because didn't wanna make a big fuss out of it. But yeah, they are definitely getting more...

If you're looking for Mamak restaurant near Prima Saujana or Kajang New Town area and this is the restaurant you should come and have a taste. Whatever you want to take you can find here and more variety is available at night. There is an air conditioned room and extra 5% is charged based on the bill.
