This was a no-frills but air conditioned restaurant. Not a big restaurant. The lady (probably the owner) who took our food orders was friendly and obliging. We ordered the following food.

Guinness pork ribs. This was their signature dish. This was excellent and the favourite among us (and reviewer). Curry Fish Head with assorted vegetables. This was another signature dish. The fish head was deep fried and added to the curry. No doubt the curry was delightful but the fish head chunks appeared to be still intact; not soft and didn’t add any taste to the curry. Salted egg sotong å’øč›‹č˜‡äøœ. This was unfavourable. The sotong was hard and the thick gravy made the dish soggy. Salt baked Chicken Wings 盐焗鸔翅. Really delectable when they arrived on the table being freshly fried. After a short while it would lose its crispness and ā€œfreshnessā€. Fried Taufu with mayonnaise (蛋黄酱). Decent. Stir fried kankung. Didn’t see any garlic. Not fragrant. Bland taste.

The total bill came to RM232.00 for the seven of us or RM33.14 per person. Price was reasonable. Food portions were quite large. We could have ordered...

I visited this restaurant on a regular weekday at 11:40 AM and had to wait nearly 1.5 hours for the food to be served. Everything was fine until it was time to make payment at the counter. I realized that no formal receipt was provided—only a handwritten one. When I asked for the receipt, the lady refused to give it to me, so I requested to take a picture instead.

It was only after reviewing the receipt that I noticed something suspicious—the price of the fish head curry was initially written as RM54 but was later changed to RM70. When I questioned the lady about the price change, she deliberately ignored my queries and walked away.

I found this behavior dishonest. If there was a valid reason for the price change, such as a different type of fish, I would have appreciated an explanation. However, simply ignoring me and refusing to provide the receipt felt untrustworthy.

As a customer, I believe I have the right to receive a receipt, whether formal or informal. This experience left me feeling cheated, and I will never return to this...

Semenyih has plenty of restaurants in the village and among the orchards. This village restaurant is easy to locate with gps. Not far from the main road. Limited parking right outside but plenty at a nearby chinese temple. Spacious and clean restaurant and full house by noon. Surprisely they have a wide range of menu. We waited nearly an hour for the food but it was worth it. The smell reached us before the food! The claypot tilapia fish curry (was boiling hot), stir fry long beans with brinjal, yam well with squid and salted egg praying mantis were delicious. I couldn't stop eating the yam basket...so soft and tasty. Although I prefer the squid sauce to be a little less sweet. There are many choices of dishes to fill the yam basket. Total bill came up to RM117 with 2 huge...
