It was a heavily raining night and we haven't had anything at 8pm due to everyone are just off from work. Hence, since is raining ... we decided to have steamboat to fill our starving tummy and warm food too.
From the exterior, is looks bright and when we step in... of coz they are bright, cleaniness and organized.
So, we decided to kick things off with the stomach pig soup base for our steamboat. Let me tell you, that soup was like a flavor party in our mouths – rich, clean, savory, and a bit peppery to spice things up. It was the perfect warm-up for a rainy day.
But wait, there's more! The fish paste and sliced pork were like the dynamic duo of the menu. The fish paste brought this cool texture, and the pork was just right – like a meaty high-five to our taste buds.
Honestly, every bite just upped the satisfaction level. It wasn’t just good; it was like a foodie adventure. The place was spotless, the service was on the ball, and the food – oh man, the food was the real deal.
In a nutshell, this spot isn’t your run-of-the-mill joint. It's where flavors dinner, and we leave with a happy tummy and a plan to...
Read moreVery horrible experience here. Waited over 30 minutes for our food to come only to be told the waitress didn’t place in our order. And nobody bother apologizing.
Soup was very mild and bland. Not worth the price RM38 for two pax. That’s almost RM20/pax just for soup.
Condiments choices were also very limited. Mainly just blended chilis which doesn’t show much effort as other hotpot restaurants are offering very wide array of choices for condiments.
Worst of all, their utensils were all dirty and stained. Wasn’t even cleaned properly. When I highlighted to the owner of the restaurant, he didn’t bother apologizing. He merely took it away and send new utensils to me.
Food was pricey for its quality. Many other hotpot restaurants offering such quality with more competitive prices. For the price we paid for 2 pax, I would rather eat at Hai Di Lao for way way better services.
Waiters weren’t attentive, our table was full with plates and yet they didn’t bother clearing until we have to ask repeatedly.
Conclusion, don’t waste...
Read moreWas googling for a hotpot place during a rainy Saturday and decided to try this out. It was packed and we had to queue but the waiting time was reasonable, the owner/manager kept coming out to update us on the seat availability (thanks!) The RM38 broth was good, we ordered too many dishes and luckily it was okay to pack home. Oh boy it tasted so good when reheated back on the next day with white radish! Would definitely want to tapao on the next visit hehe. There were enough pig maws and chicken pieces in the soup for 2 pax. Fish paste was generous in portion. Homemade pork balls tasted great since they were mixed with wood ear fungus so it gave a crunch. Area of improvement probably would be the cleanliness but understood that it was a busy night so our seats were a tad bit dirty, we just wiped it off ourselves. Another would be on the condiments, again, busy night, condiments ran out and refill wasn't as quick. Dumpling is...
