Was in the rush and chosen this restaurant for a quick late lunch. Surprisingly very good bak kut teh served in both claypot and small bowl. We opted for the small bowl type of serving. We ordered 3 layer pork belly, small bone and some mixed internal organ. Oh, the taste of different bowl of pork yielded and raised the different flavors of the thick herbal-based soups! Totally impressed by the tender yet good texture of meat and fat, the best way to enjoy the BKT that goes very well with the red scallions' fragrance rice, heaven! P/s even when it served in small bowls, it is serve on top of the heated lids below to keep the soup warm....
Read moreOrdered a dry BKT with Tofu pok with soup. Dry BKT served in a sziling hot claypot makes it looks really drooling saliva. Taste wise is good. Saltiness came from the seasoning and dry squid makes me wanna ordered a 2nd place of rice. But less aroma.
For thier tofu pok they served in a thick soup. I asked the lady boss for a small bowl of bkt soup, she say that soup in your tofu pok is. Well, for me, the soup taste is abit sour which first time i ever tasted for a BKT soup. Its thick and not too dark. And slightly more peppery.
Price wise is slightly high, but this restaurant is Air conditioned....
Read morePopped by for lunch on a weekday. Only one other table occupied when we got there, but a few diners came while we were eating. Service was ok but could use some improvements. Very weird vibe coming from the servers, felt like they didn't want to be disturbed.
Food was good. Soup is not exactly refillable - we managed to get one or two top ups bfr they said nah no more for u guys. Dry bak kut teh is ok, not the best I've bad but pretty good. Highlight for me was the salted egg mantis...
