Makanan semua sedap and tempat pun selesa luas dan tak terlalu pack. Datang sini semata nak try claypot because mostly chicken rice claypot were non halal.
Chicken rice claypot : 8/10 sedap and rich with flavour. eventhough masa menunggu lama, masakan dihidangkan panas panas where the restaraunt will prepare the food after the order were confirmed. so memang you akan dapat fresh food.
Jasmine Calendula : 9/10 sedap and no additional sugar. were serve on top of ceramic stove which the tea will stay hot.
service : 2/10 salah ambil order. kami order 2 claypot with 1 add egg, another 1 add mushroom. but they give us 1 claypot with additional egg and mushroom. we waited around 30min, the first claypot come. we assume it is egg because i saw an egg in it. waited another 20min and no other food is come. so we ask the waiter and they said our claypot is actually egg + mushroom. WAIT WHATT?? im not ordering this. we order 2 claypot. 1 egg, 1 mushroom. then they check with kitchen and come back to us and said that they have to take around 20min to prepare another claypot. i was so annoyed and we canceled another claypot. we just share the food and paid for chicken rice claypot with egg only. at first, they charge us claypot + egg + mushroom and i argue to deduct either one because they are the one who wrongly take the orders eventhough we already write 2 claypots. really dissapointed with the service and the management. we spent 2hrs for our dinner with 1 claypot and drink. nasib baik ada this one guy yang sangat polite and confront with us their mistakes. buatkan tak jadi nak marah sangat walaupun dah kebukur tapi tetap geram sebab dari kedai kosong sampai penuh and ada yang datang kemudian pun dah selesai makan tapi makanan kami tak sampai...
Read moreThis was our first time at Segar Dim Sum. The environment was comfortable and tidy. There were about six customers at the time. My wife ordered wantan fried noodles and steamed glutinous chicken. I ordered cheong fun and a set of steamed dim sum with mini pau. For drinks, we had lemon basil and soy milk.
As usual, the drinks arrived first. After a few minutes, the wantan fried noodles were served. My wife started eating, but after waiting for quite some time, my order still hadn’t arrived. I waited for more than 30 minutes, but the food still didn’t come.
My wife called one of the staff at the counter to ask about our order. The staff went inside and came back out to inform us that the food was ready and would be served shortly. When the food arrived, the cheong fun was still hot, probably freshly cooked. However, the dim sum set and pau were already cold—most likely prepared earlier but not served to us immediately.
When it came time to pay, the staff asked for feedback. I said the food was delicious, but the service was very slow. I also mentioned that customers who arrived after us had already received their orders. I had waited for more than 30 minutes. The staff apologized and said they were short-staffed.
But how could food preparation take that long when there were only a few customers? I didn’t comment further—I didn’t want to hear more excuses that didn’t make sense. The previous reviews I read were true. The service really wasn’t good, and no improvements had been made. I hope the owner takes action for the sake of...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of trying the halal dim sum, wantan curry mee, and nasi ayam at a local restaurant, and I must say, the experience was delightful. The halal dim sum offered a diverse selection of bite-sized delights, from steamed dumplings to crispy spring rolls, all expertly crafted and bursting with flavor. Each bite was a delightful blend of savory and aromatic spices, leaving me craving for more.
Moving on to the wantan curry mee, it was a comforting bowl of noodles bathed in a rich and fragrant curry broth, generously topped with succulent wantan dumplings and tender slices of chicken. The combination of creamy curry and tender noodles created a harmonious symphony of flavors that warmed both my heart and my stomach.
As for the nasi ayam, it was a classic Malaysian favorite done to perfection. The fragrant rice paired beautifully with the tender and juicy chicken, complemented by the flavorful sauces and side condiments.
To wash it all down, I tried their best-selling drinks, the selasih soda water and ice lemon tea. The selasih soda water was a refreshing concoction of sparkling water infused with basil seeds, offering a unique and refreshing burst of flavor. The ice lemon tea, on the other hand, was a classic thirst-quencher, with just the right balance of tangy lemon and sweet tea.
Overall, the halal dim sum, wantan curry mee, nasi ayam, and refreshing drinks at this restaurant exceeded my expectations and left me eager to...
