The Beach Club — Restaurant in Langkawi Island

The worst experience of our entire trip to Langkawi.

We arrived at what we thought was the entrance to The Beach Club only to be told by Security staff at two checkpoints that guests are not allowed to walk down. A reservation is required and then a buggy must take guests down to TBC (despite this not being advised or detailed either online directly, in any reviews, their website or any other areas of information relating to The Beach Club...)

No problems me and partner thought. So we looked at the Datai Beach website & The Beach Club's own page, under which it is not actually possible to book reservations.

We then call both The Datai & The Beach Club directly multiple times to make a reservation.

Reservation eventually made after a while. However, it then took over 35 minutes of embarassingly and frustratingly being left waiting at the security checkpoint being eaten alive by mosquitos before the Duty Manager & Front of House/Lobby eventually sends a buggy for both of us.

Absolutely appallingly shocking service. Shocking communication between TBC & The Datai. No care on concern for guests and visitors wanting to enjoy some relaxed food & drinks with a nice view - I would not stay here based on the service shown to us today. Very, very...

Upset at the way this was handled. Outside guests aren’t allowed to dine or drink at the bar unless you have made a reservation. But there is no way to make a reservation online or via phone. In the end the front desk said they would helped us to make a reservation and would send a buggy to pick us up from the midway point, told us to wait 10 mins. Meanwhile they called the security guard to tell us to walk to the lobby (10 mins along the main road) and they won’t be sending a buggy to pick us up. So much confusion and honestly not a great experience for a resort that prides itself as one that has...

Although We were not a guest at this super deluxe facility, we were granted access to the beach bar, we were touring around the island and were not aware this was a private location. We have been granted access and we have been served if we were guests who stayed there. What an incredible lovely luxury place. Their service is one of the best I have had the last years. Great food and drinks most of all the staff is so friendly. I am not sure if you always get access granted to this location, but a thank you to the member of the security entrance who made effort to the manager...
