This new restaurant in Broga, with a branch in Kajang, offers a nice view, but getting there can be tricky. The road leading up is quite steep, especially near the entrance next to Orchard Hill Cafe, where you’ll need to speed up your car to manage the inclines. I’m not sure how safe it would be to visit in the evening with such steep access.
During our visit, it was very hot, and the restaurant only had typical ceiling fans. Installing larger fans would be a good idea to make the space more comfortable during the heat.
We visited on a Saturday lunchtime, and the food was served quickly, possibly because there were only two other tables occupied. A few more customers arrived just as we were finishing our meal.
As for the food, it was average. The Curry Fish Soup leans more towards Nyonya-style, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re expecting a typical curry fish head soup. The other dishes were also just average, and the prices were slightly above average, possibly due to the location.
Overall, the view is pleasant, but it’s too hot during sunny weather, and the food doesn’t stand out. I wouldn’t make a special trip to visit this...
Read moreA fresh seafood hidden gem which I found through Google maps initially for a solo meal, and found it to be very tasty the first time I tasted their beehoon 7 star grouper, the soup base was so refreshing even for a takeaway meal 😋.
So on New Year's eve dinner, I brought my parents to dine in, the 3 of us ate a decent meal for dinner, the portion is just nice for us, the seawater prawns @ Meng har is quite fresh, the grouper cooked in spring onion was a surprisingly unique dish as it was cooked with dried chilly, not too spicy, the sauces tasted just nice, not your typical Chinese dish indeed. Quite a pleasing discovery considering limited delicious Chinese cuisine in Semenyih/Kajang area. And the honey lemon drink was surprisingly having generous slices of lemon. My dad had praises for the barley drink, boiled with wintermelon which is well done and a rare find these days. Overall a satisfying dinner for us, quite affordable price as well for the quality of the dishes prepared. Will visit next time for trying out different dishes in...
Read moreThe food are nice, the Mountain view is amazing. But the service really speechless. We’re celebrating my aunty birthday, ask one of the kakak can help us to bring out the cake. Without checking the fridge she asked me: Siapa you bagi? And the face 😐 Ok maybe it’s my fault. Because I’m not remember who I passed to. And when another kakak bring the cake out she just take with one hand and our cake slide into one side. Another speechless moment. we asked a guy with specs I think is the boss to help us take photo, his black face and without looking at people when we said thank you is disappointed.
I wish to recommend this restaurant to my friends but with this service attitude - Nah.
I understand it’s a peak hour and it’s a Sunday. But at least give us a friendly face since you’re in frontline / service industry. It’s a not so good experience after all. So it’s only 2/5. Food is important but SERVICE is why I will come back to...
