Surrounding tempat okay, vibes tepi pantai. SERVICE OUT (disclaimer: Tengah full house 8.30pm-10pm and on weekend).

Sampai 8.30pm, Siap order by 9.00pm (queue pilih seafood and order dkt table). 10.30pm baru everyfood sampai. Makanan sampai lambat and 50-60% customer lain pun facing same issue. Waiter very attentive to customer and trying to be helpful, however kitchen is the main problem. Order going in faster than food going out. (Kitchen confirm jam la bro).

By right customer akan complain sebab makanan sampai lambat, but guess what? The kitchen team blaming each other infront of customers (open kitchen of course everyone can hear and see the unnecessary drama). Yelling and keep blaming each other but not trying to figure out whats the main problem. (Better check your kitchen procedure and work flow. Oh not to forget, please improve kitchen staff attitude. Thanks)

Food (most of it are undercook) sebab nak release the food to customer faster. Fast Service = Bad food? or Slow Service = Good food? (It should be fast service with good quality of food.

First time trying here, and surely would be the last. However, please repair your service as your place got potential as 1 of the top ikan bakar restaurant in PD. I just give a honest review. Other people should try this place, but avoid on weekend. (Or maybe the issue is same on weekday also? Who know, most of people go to PD on weekend🤣)

Sekian daripada saya, yang baru lepas tengok drama kitchen gaduh2 dgn cashier (yang baru kena marah dgn customer) Hahahaha

Btw, ample parking and got a lot of lighting (the only good thing i...

Restaurant Ikan Bakar Berapi Batu Ompek

I recently visited Restaurant Ikan Bakar Berapi Batu Ompek and had a mixed experience. Here's a breakdown of my visit:

Food: Sotong Goreng Tepung: RM27.50 (I can't recall the exact weight, but it was a generous portion). The fried squid was exceptionally delicious. Talapia: RM25 per piece. The fish was fresh and superbly cooked.

The quality of the food was excellent and very satisfying.

Service: Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. It took almost 1 hour and 30 minutes for all the food to be served. The male staff members were very friendly and frequently checked in with us to see if our food had arrived. However, the female staff were quite unfriendly, which was disappointing.

Ambiance: There were no fans in the restaurant, making it uncomfortably hot. On the positive side, the restaurant maintained good hygiene and cleanliness.

Overall, while the food was top-notch, the long wait and lack of ventilation were significant drawbacks. Improved service speed and better customer interaction from all staff would greatly enhance the dining experience. Btw akak cashiers the most sporting ever 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

1st time came across this place during Dec 2024. Recommended by a friend at PDGCC. Despite location tersorok, and disrupted service due to heavy rain. Surprisingly the food was very good and tasty.

Came again with family last night for dinner before heading back to Rawang. Its was packed! Ordered ikan bakar petai, cencaru asam pedas, sotong goreng tepung and vegetable soup and as expected. Food was superb especially the improvised version of the sambal used for ikan bakar (slight increased on the spicy level, which ia good!). As expected, service slightly slow due to heavy weekend family crowds. As for me, it is acceptable. (for those yg nak semua benda cepat, this is definitely not the place for u. Perhaps u might want to consider fast food outlets instead) can see the crew is trying their best to accommodate the customers. Positive attitude and helpful despite the tired looks on the faces. The boss are very good and friendly, always asking customers feedback and very open to accept customers suggestions.

Nevertheless, there's still area for improvements.

Keep up the good work and insya'allah...

Most of the one start review that stated long waiting time is true. Expect 1hr++ waiting minimum. Unfortunately for them they either mess up my order or my order got slip through. I waited close to 2hours already, and I’m not even exaggerating. However the redeeming factor is that the dish is actually quite nice. Overall, expect a long wait. Especially when is packed. Ikan Bakar Sambal 5/5. Rich bakar flavor, wangi sambal, smoked fish. Definitely won’t disappoint you. The dipping sauce is also excellent. Sotong tepung goreng 3.5/5. Could be higher if it’s crunchy. But the one I received is slightly soggy already. The seasoning not bad tho. Telur dada 4.5/5. Crispy outer filings, thicker in the middle. Ikan Sweet Sour 2/5. Although the sauce is nice, the fish served is already soggy.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere was equally delightful. Set in a cozy, open-air setting, the restaurant exuded a relaxed and inviting vibe. Soft lighting, gentle breezes, and the sounds of lively chatter created a warm, communal feel—perfect for casual dining with friends or family. The attentive staff made the experience even more enjoyable, ensuring every detail was taken care of. Overall, this place offers a fantastic combination of delicious ikan bakar and a welcoming environment. It’s a must-visit for seafood lovers and anyone looking to indulge in authentic, flavorful Malaysian cuisine in a laid-back setting.
