My recent lunch visit to Restoran Citarasa Kampung PD on May 31st, 2025, offered a mixed experience. The restaurant boasts a wide array of kampung-style dishes, including popular choices like Gulai Lemak Cili Api, Asam Pedas, Sup Panas, Ikan Bakar, Kari, and an extensive selection of ulam-ulaman. It's certainly a spot with plenty of options to choose from.
For my meal, I opted for nasi putih with Ikan Pari Bakar, hati ayam and some vegetables. Unfortunately, the Ikan Pari Bakar was noticeably "hancing" (rancid) and inedible. I informed a waiter about the issue, and to their credit, they promptly replaced it with Ikan Kembung Bakar.
While the replacement dish was acceptable, the initial unpleasant experience with the rancid fish was quite off-putting and definitely left a lasting negative impression. Overall, I personally believe the taste of the food was just okay, nothing particularly outstanding.

Read moreThis is my second time here. It is easy to find, just beside PD-Lukut main road. Clean and big dining area During my lunch experience, I need to queue (a very long que!!!). First , you must get your table number and order your drinks. Then only you can take your food. Once you are at your table, a staff member will come to look at your plate for pricing and he/she will give the amount to the counter. Varieties of menus to choose from buffet style. Many types of ikan bakar other than ayam and kambing bakar. The downside is limited parking space. The buffet serves cold without a warmer including the bubur@pengat pot heat not turn on. Price wise some menus are not cheap. So don't be surprised when you want to pay at the counter. Toilet out of order. This shouldn't be for a big restaurant with lots of customers. However, if you don't have any other place to go, this place is ok to...
Read moreEasy to find as it is situated along Jalan Lukut to PD town. Ample parking space. Spacious and clean restaurant. They offer kampung style food and in the evening they have ikan bakar and steamboat. I was here for lunch and their choice of lauk kampung consists of more than 20 trays dishes!! Most of them are masak lemak cili padi with options like chicken, smoked beef, keli, duck egg, bamboo shoots and prawns. The food is good but not thaaatt good as to my liking coz I hail from Negeri Sembilan so my masak lemak cili padi has to be more spicy, sour, creamy and more tangy. The food is not too pricey. The staffs are friendly...
