I had a great experience at PD Great Western Food with my wife and her relatives from Melaka. The restaurant is located at the PD Waterfront City, which offers a nice view of the sea. The service was friendly and fast, and the food was delicious and affordable. I ordered the red wine chicken chop burger wrap with lamb, which was juicy and tender and came with a generous portion of fries and salad. My wife had a hot plate of black pepper chicken which was tender and juicy and served with tartar sauce and coleslaw. My sister enjoyed regular black pepper chicken and her younger son enjoyed a sizzling hotplate T-bone pork. We also had mushroom soup with garlic bread as starters. The food was well-seasoned and satisfying, and we enjoyed every bite. The restaurant also has a variety of drinks, such as juices, smoothies, and coffee. We had the watermelon juice and lemon tea, which were refreshing and cooling. The restaurant has a cosy and casual atmosphere, and the staff are attentive and helpful. Very heartfelt 🧡 homestyle cooking of western food, you can taste it in the food - seriously! I guess it's run by family, the waiter who took our food orders went to the back to cook it. He recommended the black pepper steak so we ordered that, also the garlic sauce steak. Since I prefer to not eat fat, I specifically asked him for a steak with least fat if possible, and he was kind to accommodate my request, thank you 😊

Price is super affordable, portion is big enough, food was tasty with well cooked flavours and really no complaints at all. Tables were very clean and not sticky, ambience had some light music playing and toilets were also clean 👌 Plenty of parking at the roadside, never fear!

This is Chinese style steak house, so don't expect authentic western food. we almost missed it when we only seen a Chinese restaurant.

Food 3/5: average. I asked for medium rare but it was more towards rare and very difficult to chew. The chicken chop was overcooked on the other hand. One thing for sure, they are super generous with sauce, both the steak and chicken chop were swamped with sauce.

Price 3/5: although the portion size is pretty decent given the price, but the food is not really to our liking.

Location: Near town center, about 5-10 minutes walk from the PD waterfront. Just that the stretch is a bit quiet and dark to walk.
