Seaba Seafood is a popular spot for those craving fresh seafood and local delights by the beach. This bustling stall has become a favorite destination for both locals and visitors who appreciate its vibrant atmosphere and diverse menu.
Situated right by the beach, Seaba Seafood offers a unique dining experience with the soothing sound of the waves and a pleasant, breezy ambiance. The location is often windy, which adds to the refreshing outdoor experience.
The menu at Seaba Seafood features a variety of dishes that highlight the freshness of the seafood. Popular items include the sotong (squid), which is well-seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the keropok lekor, a traditional Malaysian snack that many find delicious. The stall also offers a range of other dishes, including nasi lemak and tepung, which complement the seafood offerings nicely.
One aspect of the dining experience that stands out is the dipping sauce. While it’s a staple at many seafood stalls, some diners might find the sauce to be a bit unusual or not to their taste. For me, it felt a bit weird compared to more traditional options.
Despite the high quality of the food, be prepared for a bit of a wait, as there is often a queue. The stall is popular, and it’s not uncommon to see a line of customers eager to enjoy the offerings. However, the wait is generally worth it for the delicious food served.
Overall, Seaba Seafood is a great choice for a casual, seaside dining experience. The combination of fresh seafood, beachside location, and traditional Malaysian snacks makes it a delightful spot. While the dipping sauce might not suit everyone’s preferences, the overall quality of the food and the unique setting contribute to a...
Read moreSotong celup tepung was meh. Both sotong and batter undercooked. They for sure knew the crowd would always go for the sotong, but we had to queue for like 20 to 30 mins for the new batch to be cooked as they were frying for a big group of school kids. Pricing system was a bit ambiguous. Udang and other frozen items were priced per quantity. 5 udang = RM9 😬 But for the sotong, no price tag at all. Only got to know the pricing when they put the new batch of sotong on our talam - RM41! Me and my partner had no problem with money, but imagine someone that has limited budget, has been queueing for so long for the sotong, and finally the sotong is there but only got to know the price when the waiter about to put on the talam - cant cancel to take out of embarrassment and has been waiting for so long. And yes, the taste was disappointing. The batter inside the sotong was not cooked and it was tasteless. The sotong spine was not removed as well. The only good thing about this restaurant is the ambience. A+ for that. I've been to 2 other celup tepung stalls in Kuantan, both were far more satisfying. Almost the same portion as this stall, but cheaper and delicious. And yes, got the pricing per kg/g and you get to choose and weight the sotong udang first. Hope you can improve the taste, service and price tagging. Feels like a...
Read moreBasically, quite disappointed with the service, quality of the food, and the pricing. the queue was long when I arrived. when it's my turn, the prawn and squid trays were empty, so they asked me to queue for prawns 1st, then go to 2nd queue for squids... but the staff keep serving others without prioritizing those who are already in the queue waiting. only after I voiced out, the staff realize there was a queue. later, when it was my turn for the squids, I noticed that they kept increasing the price even though the size was almost similar. mine squid was priced Rm29 and another for Rm39, both of a similar size. later, when I went to the counter to refill the sauces, there was no queue, the squids were offered for Rm19, just a little bit smaller than mine. this is the most disappointing part after the taste of the food. the squid is fried as a whole piece, and when we cut the squid, the batter and the squid separate, so the squid is no longer coated with the batter. Which defeats the actual purpose of the "CELUP TEPUNG" concept. finally, after finishing the food with disappointment, I went to wash my hands and noticed that there was no handwash soap provided. come on, people eat celup tepung food with their bare hands, and it is greasy, and hand-washing soap is needed.
Not going to...
