I was blown away by the choices in the menu tbh. It's a standard size shop with standard sized kitchen, so, for them to provide this myriad of options is impressive. It definitely allows for repeated visits to try their food and hence it explains why it is frequently full. Queuing up is expected, so be prepared.
Sitting is however a little tight and ordering is by QR. If it's busy, a little wait is expected. To put it into context, the menu starts with porridge (which was highly recommended but I was a little late and it was unavailable during my visit), where there are many options to choose from. Moving on, there's rice, kolo mee (wan tan mee to me), soup (again, you can choose whether to have the noodles in the soup or the noodles in a separate bowl with the soup by itself). Each of these options have multiple styles and many add on you can order.
If you think that's it, you are wrong. Moving on, there's nasi lemak, then there's the bread and sandwiches with bun. Drinks and desserts are another few pages. Impressive, as I said.
As far as the food goes, delicious all the way. The soup was light yet tasty and balanced. Adequate ingredients that doesn't leave you wanting. The separate noodles was plain but well soya sauced with heavy lard aroma and taste that you will never forget. The rice was also hot on arrival with beautifully flavoured pork.
However when I ordered the soya cincau, the cincau pieces were just too big and impossible to slurp through the straw. A little smaller manageable piece will be better for the experience. The taro tofu was good but the amount of taro when compared to the illustration was miles apart in quantity / amount. They literally look like different dishes. 😂
But generally I had a great meal and would visit again (depending on the...
Read moreThis was my first visit to this Pak Fung kopitiam (butterworth) but unfortunately, the service experience was not good. My personal view is the staff could improve their politeness and attentiveness when serving customers. For example, when customer requested extra small bowl, it was placed a bit harshly on the table and also during table cleaning on other tables. Additionally, one incident stood out where a waiter accidentally dropped the meal & broken while serving other table customer (actually it also nearly happen on our table). Add-on "fried dough stick" was so little with just few thin pieces😅. Hope it will...

But will need to come earlier, coz the food will finish and will not available if u come late, normally if 1pm there is some popular food will be gone in the e-menu, so if want to try the most popular food, come earlier.
The parking was quite alot, but there is alot shop nearby, so suggest that if u come with more than 1 ppl, 1 ppl come down to order first instead of keep on looking for carpark first.
