If you are looking for a cool and clean place to eat, then this is not what you are looking for. What you get here is sitting on an elevated platform over the river. Whether it's comfortable will depend on your luck, the wind, the humidity and heat all dependent on the weather. They do have a large fan to mitigate the heat but it can only do this much. However, it's an interesting environment (I suppose the closest descriptive theme I can give is fisherman village restaurant theme) to eat at, so I suggest you give it try.

The menu has pictures and are quite self explanatory. Their famous curry seafood looks delicious and smells mouth watering even though I didn't order it.

Coming to the food I did order, the mantis prawn was large, sweet, superbly flavoured and steamed. Totally worth the rm70 I paid (each). The fried tofu came hot, yummy with a nice crusty fried skin. The steamed octopus was standard but prepared well.

The noodle was averagely average but I was disappointed with the lala. Too spicy. Not much balance in the flavour and unacceptably muddy. I do expect some sand / mud in these but this batch had a bit too much which affected the looks and the flavour.

Generally it was a good meal for this kind of village and jetty vibe famous in this tambun area. But does this place have something that will make you drive all the way here. I...

Location wise, it took some time for us to find as it is hidden behind some wooden house, but you can easily spot with the fleets of cars parking outside. However it is worth mention that the parking spaces is quite limited and you do not want to block other people houses. Service is okay, took some time as they are having a busy night but the attitude is fine.

Taste wise, the curry sauce is quite tasty, rich and flavorful, goes well with steamed buns. Other order like steamed clams or squid is just mediocre, nothing special about it. Same goes with the fried taugeh and squid kangkung. The ala carte crabs were delicious, fresh and meaty, salted baked preserved it’s freshness and bring out its sweetness.

Portion wise, the portion is okay for three to four person, but the seafood they gave in the curry set is quite small, the crabs and clams got not...

Everything was fine. The seafood platter was one of the best tried in Penang. Price is not hidden and reasonable. Service was ok-ok as the waitresses are slow in respond and not efficient at all. If you have more than 6 people, recommend to get 2 plates of veggies. They did not considerate our table’s number and the vegetable size only in one small size. Probably because of public holiday and full of tourists. A lot of angry customers but overall we enjoyed our great time here.
