Highly not recommended. This restaurant doesn’t follow the sequence of orders placed but based on the complexity of dishes ordered. Poor excuse from management given was ‘we cook the easy orders first and leave the complex orders for later’; So if you order ‘complex’ dishes like steamed fish, expect your orders to be served much later than those who order ‘simple’ dishes like fried squid or octopus. While the others who placed their orders after us have their food came about 30 minutes while for us never came about 1 hour+. Insisted the waitress to check about 3 times but none came back to us. Furious, we head straight to the payment counter for a straight explanation. To our horror, OUR ORDER WAS NOT EVEN KEYED IN. Fed up, we left the restaurant, BEST OF ALL, NO APOLOGY FROM THE RESTAURANT’S MANAGEMENT. 0/10 would not return ever again, especially for a restaurant with such poor service and disregard for...
Read moreFresh seafood selections & peaceful atmosphere. It’s fairly straightforward if you’re used to ordering seafood dishes. The salted egg prawns & spicy stir fried kam heong lala were worth trying. I'd say their vegetable dishes are a little on the pricier side but the portions are quite big. Basically, if you order for 2 people the portions can actually feed 3 people.
The inner road to get to this place is a little rundown so you’d have to be careful. There’s plenty of parking space in front of old houses. One or two of the residents may ask for parking fees around RM2 for them to keep a lookout for that space. It’s actually a public space but just because it’s facing their houses that becomes their mode of ‘duit kopi’ I guess. RM2 isn’t too bad so there wasn’t any fuss about it. Still better than paying RM20+ to some random when parking around Batu Caves...
Read moreDecided to have dinner at Prawn Village (but end up didn't order any prawn dishes 😂).
Pork-Free place.
We ordered;
Prawn Village Deep Fried Beancurd: It's the seafood Tofu type, crispy outside, soft inside.
Steamed Fish Teochew Style: It was OK, we had better ones elsewhere. But fish is fresh.
We ordered 2 types of sauce for the crab..
There's one sauce tbat is non spicy type but I can't remember what style name or sauce it is😜
Another one is Spicy & Sour Crab - I quite enjoy this, abit like Chilli crab style.
Stir fried French Beans - simple but the minced chicken and dried prawns makes it fragrant.
Fried Rice - Enough 'Wok Hei' and even my mom approved this 😁
Total spent: RM 400 plus for 6 adults & kiddos (including white rice & drinks)
Walked in around 6.30pm, still. Plenty of seats.. Served by...
