The Soybean Fusion — Restaurant in Penang

I frequent here at least 4x per month for lunch and dessert menu as my office is nearby.

By chance I met the young entrepreneur who started this business with his family almost 1 year ago, and learned that the pan mee, tau foo fa and soya bean are all family recipes - which is why to me, it has more homely and genuine taste. The pan mee noodles and ikan bilis soup are made fresh from scratch daily. I also very much enjoy their waffle options - both the gula melaka and chocolate ice cream toppings are premium product.

I believe the portion and pricing is good value. All the menu is muslim friendly, so I can also go with my malay colleagues and friends. It is one of the few options in the area that have aircon premium cafe ambiance, and can cater to malay customers.

I highly recommend this place, and wish the owners all success...

Ordered this desert, but the illustration of menu totally misleading as you need to pay extra for add on tangyuan, as it packaged with only one tangyuan. The owner should state out clearly in menu but yet while ordering only be informed. From the psychological side, felt a bit disappointed with the way they illustrated the menu.

Additionally, changed to mix type of taufuhua need to charge another RM0.50. Hmm… total up another...

The food here is absolutely delightful, every dish is bursting with flavor, especially their chili, which is fantastic! If you decide to order dessert, don’t forget to add boba because it’s just perfect! The prices are very reasonable, and I really enjoy the atmosphere—it's cool and clean. This is my second visit, and I’ll definitely be coming...
