Love it! A complete homely classic touch to a cafe/restaurant. You feel you’ve been sucked into those old old days. Surrounding is full of green and smells fresh. Nobody would believe there’s such a secret garden place on Tapah road. I actually came to visit on the recommendation of a Kampar friend, Vivien & Simon. Amazing back to 80s place!!
Unfortunately, I came at the wrong timing hence couldn’t try the much talked about Black Wantan Mee. Apparently, the place opens at 7.00am and they serve toast, half boiled egg, wantan mee, nasi lemak, har mee up to 1.00pm ONLY. After that, the cafe only serves toast, half boiled egg and coffee till 4.30pm. No other food. I wanted to have lunch. The owner was kind enough to offer to fry rice for me though. Appreciate it much.
Would definitely come again to try the breakfast offerings. Next time hopefully with a couple of friends. It’s a place to chat for sure. Anyway, those famed rice dishes, fish and chicken dishes that were talked about in the previous reviews are all not available anymore ya. Sadcase but hopefully they can offer more of those kind of...
Read moreThe shop is little bit hard to be notice because it is covered by the trees and grass. If you were speeding, you will definitely missed it.
I notice it only selling 2 food option, therefore I ordered the 2 option which is wan tan mee and prawn mee. For drinks i ordered coffee big.
Wan tan mee, the noodle texture is very good. It has slightly transparent texture and very chewy. The char siu has little bit sweet taste. Bring this wan tan mee very recommend to try here. And it has come with lots of wan tan 🥰
Next is the prawn mee. There is lots of ingredient in the prawn mee. The taste is not that strong as my expected, from photo can see it is quite clear.
Coffee taste is good, I ordered less sweet and it is less sweet.
The food price here is very valuable. I feel coffee price is slightly higher if I am referring the location of the shop, which is not city center.
Car park is park at road side as long as not blocking the road. The environment is very nice and the shop owner is...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. Despite arriving earlier than other customers and ordering roti bakar, we were told it was unavailable. However, shortly after, we noticed that other customers, who arrived later, were served the same item. When we questioned this, there was no proper clarification just a dismissive remark asking us to “forget it.” This kind of treatment raises serious concerns about fairness in service. If there was a genuine issue with order management, the least they could have done was inform us properly instead of giving conflicting excuses. It felt unfair and frustrating, especially when they continued serving the same item to others after telling us it was finished. Good customer service means treating all patrons with respect and transparency. Unfortunately, this experience left us feeling unwelcome and...
