We visited this restaurant for the second time, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. We ordered steamed catfish (RM70 per kg), but they didn’t inform us or confirm whether we were okay with receiving a full 1kg. When the dish arrived, the portion looked much smaller—more like 700–800g. It made us question why they would serve 1kg to just two adults and a child, especially when the fish didn’t appear to be the stated weight.

We also ordered a vegetable dish and steamed egg. Compared to our first visit, the number of workers and customers has clearly increased—possibly due to more visitors from KL or Penang—but it feels like both pricing and honesty have declined.

Sadly, we’re now questioning the transparency of this restaurant, which is disappointing considering the good impression we had from our...

If you haven’t been here, then you MUST give this place a try.

I see reviews about eel but I don’t see people talk about their 🐸. Fried, steamed or with ginger and spring onion “ting kai” - they are all equally delicious.

Steamed fish here is also to die for. The gravy pairs well with the fish and rice. Yum!

If you’re into internal organs, give their “sang cheong” a try. Idk if they have other flavours but the one I always get is the one with “ha mei”. I’ve converted a few to loving this dish now 😉

Lastly, your dining experience won’t complete without trying their “fu pei”. It’s packed with deliciousness and its...

The food here did the trick to satisfy the hungers like us. Hahahaha. We were truly hungry driving down from Cameron Highlands. So we stop at Shin Zhi Wei Tapah for lunch. I scrolled their menu on Google map and decided to order 500gm of the steamed river prawns which was very fresh and great biting texture, kung poh yellow ell was lovely too, nice meaty texture. Steamed minced pork topped with stinking beans was surpringly good, simple yet tasty. As for the belacan paku it was slightly below my expectation as it was not crunchy fresh rather soft done. Overall it was a good meal and we were feed...

I visited this place a few years ago, and the food still tastes amazing. We arrived around 5:30 PM, and most tables were already reserved, but we managed to get a table for two. We ordered three dishes: steamed frog in chicken essence, fish fillets fried with spring onion and shallots, and paku pakis stir-fried with chili and dried prawns. The prices were reasonable, and I highly recommend stopping here for a quick meal if you're traveling on the North-South Highway. The service was incredibly fast, and it's not far from the toll exit.

Reached around 12, looked packed already but luckily there’s a table enough for us of 4 pax. Food is generally good, tad bit on the salty side. Manage to try 1 out of the best sellers, their deep fried haruan, as others were out of the menu. I was looking forward to the frog dish. Noticed they just have an aircon section newly built, tho we were seated outside it wasn’t hot either as they have sprinkles on their roof. I guess if you made reservation ahead you may enjoy the aircon.
