Read moreAlways wanted to give this place a try after looking at it's stellar reviews and I finally got the chance. Upon reaching my turn, the abang immediately scooped some acar and taugeh as well as a good dose of their kuah onto my rice. I picked the ayam goreng, telor goreng, paru goreng and also their famous beef rendang to complete my meal. I also helped myself to 2 plates of their sambal merah and sambal ijo. Overall, the kuah and curry were not overpowering in its taste and spiciness. Good for those who have a milder palate. The beef rendang leaned more towards the sweeter end and like the kuah, it wasn't overly strong in it's aromatics and spices. The beef was tender enough with a good bounce to it. The ayam goreng was okay but the paru goreng was a good addition with its crunch. Both the sambal were great compliment to my rice dish although one may dislike the oiliness. Overall, I would say that the nasi padang and its dishes here tasted more like a home cooked meal with it's...
Read moreI couldn't believe I just found out this place. Located in less busy area and easy to get parking. This is a very great place if you wanted to enjoy varieties of lauk-pauk. The first time I came I was startled at their lauk and had to ask the pakcik there some guidance to order and choose lauk. Their rendang daging is superb, their kuah all hit the notes and even their side dishes such as timun jeruk is ya Allah terliur. Their terung sambal, fuhhhhhhh sedap mat. All the food are prepared fresh, you can see the makcik keep refill the food. The service also fast. Order air tak sampai 2 mins siap. You can see lots of pak cik mak cik ate there, very the old school vibes. As for price range, I think okay la not to expensive but not too cheap also. All in all, this will be in my list whenever someone ask for...
