Went on a normal Saturday night as well as on Valentineās day.
On a normal Sunday, the vibes were great, great music if youāre into rnb/indie/pop. Environment is relatively quieter and low stimulation as compared to other bars Thereās movie playing thtough the projector at the floor seating area in front of the bar, adding on to the chill vibe of being at your rich friendās apartment.
We were recommended to order a set cocktail of cold pressed juice mixed with some sort of liquor. We really liked the cucumber and pineapple flavoured one but not so much the watermelon one. We also got a couple of shots of sake and gin..? Cant really rmb tbh, just know that the drinks arenāt too bad and not too pricey. 4 person bill totalled up to about myr350
We were seated at the floor seating area located on the right as soon as you enter. Not too bad la but can be abit uncomfortable for some. Definitely opt for more comfier clothes if you decide to come here!
I also came with my partner for Valentineās night where they have live performance from 2100hrs onwards. Improvements needed for the sound system.
Witnessed one of the performers knocked the mic down and it nearly hit the candle on the table. Potential fire/electrocution hazard as the there is alcohol right next to the candle and there were lotsa wires from the sound equipments on the floor. Major trip hazard as well for the performers.
Me and my partner collectively felt that the performers werenāt quite well prepared as there were issues arising here n thr causing delays etc, but itās okay it is not that serious, just want to flag that in case people come with super high expectations!! im sure as time goes and more events are held it will get better.
Very chill la in general, would recommend to come on a usual day to hangout n grab drinks with friends but not when there is events for now. Also love that you can smoke in there. I personally really like the lingering smell of cigarettes mixed with the candle scent?...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to this place for a casual night out with a group of six friends. Me and another friend arrived earlier, first timers there and straightaway kena greeted by someone whose ego could barely fit in the room.
Told us we couldnāt order drinks until everyone arrived. No menu, no house rules, no nothing. Just verbal instructions thrown around like law. Then came the so-called āminimum two drinks per personā rule again, no sign, no mention anywhere. Just from his mouth, like weāre supposed to take it as gospel.
We thought he was joking ācause the way he said it came off more like showing off than real service. Ended up having one drink each and decided to bounce, already not feeling the vibe.
When we went to pay, he reminded us (again) that we didnāt meet the ātwo drinksā rule and had the nerve to say, ānext time youāll know what to do.ā Bro⦠little did you know, there wonāt be a next time. You just lost the game of business. More than that, the respect.
Nice-looking place, wasted by bad attitude and zero clarity. All...
Ā Ā Ā Read moresuch a gem of a spot to hang with the crew! weāve had really fun times here - kelvin and kenzo are legends when it comes to hosting, always making sure the vibes stay warm and welcoming. yeah, weāve seen mixed reviews about the owners, but honestly, our experience was top notch. (weāre all human, right? moods swing, but kindness never left the table.)
the music - rock, indie, melancholic tunes from the 1975, lany, lauv, fiji blue, christian kuria. perfect for swaying between deep chats and silly laughs. canāt wait to catch kenzoās live band someday!
drinks-wise, donāt go expecting fancy cocktail theatrics, but kelvinās mixes hit the spot. loved starting with the raksasa gin & tonic (shoutout malaysian gin!), then a bold negroni, and cooling down with those crisp plum beers.
big plus: the volumeās just right- music stays as cozy bgm without drowning out conversations. also, they host cool events now and then!
quirky? maybe. memorable? absolutely. weāll be back for sure š«¶š½...
