Old school bakery with lotsa good ol' chinese and local pastries. One of their most popular ones is egg tart - w a cookie crust and a perfect egg custard, it is easy to understand why it's a local favourite.
My personal favourite is the Red Bean Pastry; the filling is fragrant and just enough, the brown pastry not too thick and w a crumbly texture that's just right - not too dry or oily. It's really hard to find this kind of pastry baked with such finese anymore. One can buy by the whole slab, costing rm21 for each slab. (The bean filling was much inferior to the red bean one though).
Their version of UFO tart when out of the oven was a real treat too! UFO tart or also cheekily known as Cow Dung Tart is essentially a cloud of meringue with a savoury-sweet custard centre on top of a fluffy warm sponge cake. Theirs is by far one of the better one for sure.
They also have homemade fish ball, tofu and pork skin in light broth. Lo poh and lo long peang (husband and wife pastries), gai zhai peang, fried dimsums w savoury and sweet fillings.
Operators are kind elderly folks. Open public parking up front of shop. Don't forget to skip to next door at Ngee Lee Kopitiam for their scrumptious coconut pudding while...

Read morePastries were good, but giving two stars only because the person serving us was extremely rude. We were just asking what were the fillings in the buns because they're all not labelled on the shelf, but the staff was so impatient with us. I understand the regular customers would know which filings are put where on the shelf, but if you're not going to label the pastries then have the patience to explain to your...
