Old school bakery with lotsa good ol' chinese and local pastries. One of their most popular ones is egg tart - w a cookie crust and a perfect egg custard, it is easy to understand why it's a local favourite.

My personal favourite is the Red Bean Pastry; the filling is fragrant and just enough, the brown pastry not too thick and w a crumbly texture that's just right - not too dry or oily. It's really hard to find this kind of pastry baked with such finese anymore. One can buy by the whole slab, costing rm21 for each slab. (The bean filling was much inferior to the red bean one though).

Their version of UFO tart when out of the oven was a real treat too! UFO tart or also cheekily known as Cow Dung Tart is essentially a cloud of meringue with a savoury-sweet custard centre on top of a fluffy warm sponge cake. Theirs is by far one of the better one for sure.

They also have homemade fish ball, tofu and pork skin in light broth. Lo poh and lo long peang (husband and wife pastries), gai zhai peang, fried dimsums w savoury and sweet fillings.

Operators are kind elderly folks. Open public parking up front of shop. Don't forget to skip to next door at Ngee Lee Kopitiam for their scrumptious coconut pudding while...

We come here for their famous biscuit & Tarts. We come on Saturday was late. Their left not much things. We didn't get to try it. Sunday Morning we come again around 8am was a lot booking order maybe cos it was week end & Publick Holiday. Many people have book their things earlier. We wait for 1/2h-45min only get our things, & some need to wait longer time. Cos they prepare it morning. We can't wait more so we just order some. We try their "Lo Po" & "Kai Zai" biscuit was tradition type was nice. Cream puff was ok. Tao Sa Pia Biscuit was good. Ham Tan So Biscuit was ok. UFO tart was good. they have many type. can't try all. but quite good. Price is reasonable. Consider cheap. Next door shop was famous with their Coconut pudding. but we didn't get to try it. cos they sold out on Saturday when we arrive here. On Sunday morning they was not quite ready with the coconut pudding, cos it was not cool enough to try. Id better to try it when it was...

Pastries were good, but giving two stars only because the person serving us was extremely rude. We were just asking what were the fillings in the buns because they're all not labelled on the shelf, but the staff was so impatient with us. I understand the regular customers would know which filings are put where on the shelf, but if you're not going to label the pastries then have the patience to explain to your...

Simple looking old shop . What I really like was not their pastries arent sweeeeet. Even their red bean soup and sweet potato soup was in a ok enough sweetness which I appreciate. The wife biscuits was my fav! It was sold off fast. Sad The custard cake and the UFO tart didn't work quite for me. As for the signature red bean and lotus strip, the lotus strip surprised me the most cause it was like salty lotus feeling.

This shop is renowned for its exceptional fusion of classic Chinese and Western pastries, reminiscent of those found in Hong Kong. Stepping in, it's like taking a nostalgic journey through time. This place beautifully encapsulates the golden age of Sandakan, transporting visitors to an era filled with culinary delights and cultural richness. The Tausa Cake is an absolute star here, renowned for its deliciousness.
