Baywatch Restaurant — Restaurant in Selangor

Made a last minute day trip to Tg Sepat, all was good until dinner time when we decided to eat at this restaurant. Food was actually not too bad (tho I’ve had better at other places), what was unacceptable was the wait. For some weird reason they sent out the dishes few at a time (for all tables) before cycling back and finishing the orders. So we (and by this I meant ALL the tables) had a very long wait between our first two/three dishes and the rest of our orders. My daughter, being a picky eater, ordered a simple plain omelette which did not come until we’ve had enough of the waiting. Only then did they remember to serve, but by then it was too late (we had a long drive home ahead of us) we ended up packing it away (along with the plate of rice that was sitting at the table waiting for the omelette), my daughter had to eat her dinner in the car. Paid RM87 for 4 dishes (I wouldn’t count the omelette as a dish!) - kam heong chicken, sizzling tofu, sweet potato leaves & seaweed soup - we didn’t even order seafood. Sorry but will never...

This is the second visit since 2017. Today july 2020 I wanted to revisit and enjoy the environment. This turn out to be the worst decision ever. The shop is totally run down now. The service is bad. The lady just begin ignoring after i started to enquiring price. She just gave all kind of excuses to try not to tell me the prices eg. The price is standard, its all in the computer, i cannot change the price etc. The food was basically tasteless. I ordered ikan pari asam but the chef actually cook it chilli chicken style and pour assam water in it. The price was really expensive, what they did was charge 23 ringgit for thai chicken but provide like 7 ringgit worth of it. The portions are bad. Finally cleanliness is the worst, all the cups and utensil have fishy (hanyir) smell. The chinese tea was serve warm and not hot. I DONT recommend this shop. Do your self a favor and find other shop....

Overall experience and price is too low and bad. If have a option to put negative star confirm i will put to the MAX. Waiting around 2hours even is have 3 table queue before me ( believe me i do count while waiting till the 1st dish serve reach our table).

Time serving between dish cost around 5-10 minutes. 1st salted fried cuttlefish, 2nd CLAYPOT WHITE BEANCURD, 3rd sterfried vegetable, 4th hotplate fried oyster (BUT IS BEEN TOLD FINISHED AFTER THE 3RD DISH AND ALSO AFTER I ASK THEM IS MISSING OF DISH I ORDERED. I MEAN WHAT THE.....)

FOOD IS TASTELESS SPECIALLY THE SO CALL SIGNATURE CLAYPOT BEANCURD. JUST PLAIN THICK SOUP BASE WITH LIKE 1GRAM CRAB MEAT AND WHITE BEANCURD. AND IT COST RM20 FOR THE SMALLER PORTION.
