If you're looking for a hidden gem in Selayang, this cafe operated from a house is a must-visit. The only downside is that it can get warm in the afternoon, so I recommend dining in the morning. Be aware that food preparation can take between 15-20 minutes, as they make it clear with a notice at the payment counter.

Although we missed out on their famous chicken rice ball as it was sold out, we were still blown away by their pandan rice dishes. The fried chicken was thick and crispy on the outside, yet juicy and tender on the inside, and paired perfectly with the hard-boiled egg and cucumber slices. The peanuts, anchovies, and cracker added a delightful crunch, while the sambal complemented the flavors of the rice and chicken. The pandan-infused rice was aromatic, fluffy, and so delicious that it could be eaten on its own.

The ayam masak merah was another standout dish, with thick chicken coated in a flavorful, spicy sauce that remained crispy on the outside and juicy and tender on the inside. Again, the rice was the star of the show, and the peanuts, anchovies, and cracker added an extra dimension of texture and flavor.

If you're not in the mood for fried or spicy chicken, the steam chicken is a great option. The chicken was thick, juicy, and tender, and had a subtle sweetness and saltiness from the light soy sauce. The accompaniments were just as flavorful and satisfying as the other dishes.

First time trying out here. Had our lunch here, yesterday. When we arrived, it was not so crowded. Within minutes, the crowd starts to sail in. Staff were all very polite and courteous.
