I cannot thank the entire team at Mercure Selangor Selayang enough for making our wedding Chinese luncheon an unforgettable experience. From the very beginning, when I met Ms. Sandra for the initial venue viewing, everything was handled with professionalism and genuine care. Once Mr. Jason took over, I knew I was in the best hands. His dedication, attention to detail, and calm yet proactive approach made the entire planning process smooth and stress-free. He handled everything from food tasting to room bookings and special requests with incredible efficiency and grace.

A heartfelt thanks also goes to Mr. Pravin, Mr. Awal, Mr. Ali, Mr. Fadhil, and the many others from the reception, F&B, and maintenance teams whose names I may not recall, but whose efforts did not go unnoticed. Every aspect—from the meticulous planning stages to the actual event day—was executed flawlessly. The food tasting session was already impressive, but the meal served on the wedding day matched and even exceeded expectations. The bridal suite was beautifully prepared, and every request was acted upon immediately with warmth and efficiency.

The hospitality we received was truly 5-star, and I was so touched by the level of care shown to not just us as the bridal couple, but to all our guests. We received countless compliments on the food, service, and overall ambience of the luncheon. Everything came together perfectly, and it's all thanks to this outstanding team.

First of all, i have stayed here for a couple of times (as it is the ONLY hotel nearest hospital selayang, left me with no other choice). My latest stay here is 1-night stay from 22nd March 2021 to 23rd March 2021. And one thing i have noticed, the frontdesk staffs arent that friendly(except the lady during evening shift, she is GREAT and professional; unlike the others). The male staff at the frontdesk seems rude and unfriendly during my check-out process (makes me unlikely to come back again to this hotel, but unfortunately its the only hotel nearest hospital selayang). I would appreciate if the staffs are welcoming and friendly as this is a 4 star hotel like what you claimed, so i do expect the customer service to be 4 stars too. The room is okay but you can see they dont clean under the bed (its abit dirty under the bed). Please improve on the customer service, (i dont expect it to be amazing but you gotta be welcoming and friendly if you're working at the frontdesk; at least some greetings when guests enter/leave the reception), i came here a couple of times before as i have a few affairs at selayang hospital and from my observation, the frontdesk staffs hardly greet the guests. Especially the guy during my checkout , he really has poor communication and customer service skill. Dont put your least friendly staffs at the frontdesk because they're only gonna spoil the guests' experience there. im leaving this review because its not the first time i come across this unfriendliness and unprofessional behaviour at this hotel, which i finally feel like i just had to leave this review here, this time...

My recent stay at Mercure Selangor Selayang was an overall pleasant experience, thanks to their excellent facilities and the comfort they provided. The hotel boasts a range of modern amenities that cater to the needs of every guest, from a well-equipped fitness center to a children's playroom and a luxurious swimming pool.

The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep, and the room was spacious and well-appointed with all the necessary conveniences.

However, there were a few areas that could benefit from improvement. The cleanliness of the room and toilet was not up to the expected standards. In particular, the iron board in my room was noticeably neglected and could use a thorough cleaning.

Additionally, while the breakfast offered a variety of choices, I believe there is room for more options to cater to diverse tastes and dietary preferences.

Another issue that needs addressing is the smell of smoke in one of the meeting rooms. This was quite noticeable and rather off-putting during my stay. I would recommend that the hotel management take steps to eliminate this odor to provide a more comfortable environment for all guests.
