The Rack Boutique & Cafe — Restaurant in Selayang Municipal Council

For context, this is my first time eating at this restaurant and i came with my 10 other friend. Every food that we ordered are not really famous in their restaurant or in usual tiktok videos, such as korean ramen bento (spoiler its not in the bento box), ayam geprek, nasi buttermilk, spagetti aglio olio, spagetti creamy tomyam and others. So, im giving review for these items.

The only thing i can remember abt this restaurant is how everything was so salty. The spagetti tasted like someone just dropped a bag of salt during boiling the spagetti. Spagetti dia sendiri already masin and campur dgn creamy tomyam yg masin jugak, dia punya kemasinan tu level 100. The ramen came with cheezy fries n 2 pieces of korean chicken. Cheezy fries okay, ramen tasted bit weird? idk if they use their own recipes or just make samyang ramen, korean chicken is salty, per usual. Ayam geprek and nasi buttermilk is okay. For ayam geprek, it doesnt come with kicap so you have to ask the waiter.

The service. Other item came pretty quick like in 20 mins besides korean ramen bento, burger and spagetti aglio olio, which in common sense is easy to cook? The latest food to be served is bento ramen n burger which we had to wait for almost 40 min, to give more context, my other 7 friends already got their food and already finished eating by that time. Idk what happen in the kitchen but as we got back, i saw only one makcik in there so im assuming there are lack of staff?

For water, idk if they sell like regular teh ais, teh o ais, other regular drinks or not, they only mentioned the RM8 big cup glass in the menu which feels like drinking 1 liter worth of water bc i personally cannot finished...

First of. My chicken chop is served cold with cold fries and small portion of coleslaw. And the blackpepper sauce doesnt taste like black pepper at all. And it was served cold. Unreasenoble price for the chicken chop with that kind of portion. Next is you s'mores dip or whatever u called it. Usually it was served in a bowl or a cup. But you use plate? With a baking paper? You cant hide the cheap taste in the chocolate. And here come the double cheese burger. If theres a choice between beef and chicken, you should put it in the menu. Silly me who think it was all chicken because of the picture you use in that menu. Waited 30 minutes for the so called "doubled cheese burger" to arrive. There are no tomato or onion or chopped cabbage. I didnt recall i didnt want all that. And it only come with a slice of salad. Literally the black green salad. It didnt even have a pickle. What cheeseburger is this? The bun is uncook. I didnt know if the beef is cook properly or not because i didnt finish eating it. I didnt taste any spice on the burger. All the cheese sauce are making the bread soggy. Suprisingly the fries is warm. Just warm. Im not satisfied with the service. Because the waiter seems like wanna pick a fight. Or maybe i wanna pick a fight because of food like this. The price is very unreasonable. The kitchen is clean. Good job. Toilet is clean. Overall im really disappointed with the chicken chop, the smores dip and the double cheese burger. I ordered orange juice for the drink. Luckily it taste orange. Just change ur name already. From boutiqe & cafe to kedai...

Ordered Roti John Tarik chicken and meat mixed:-

I would put only 0.5 star as the cheese was a good portion but I can’t taste any pieces of meat in it and we were charged accordingly even though we had complained about it

Mac & cheese dulang with popcorn chicken and meatballs :

I should’ve read the google reviews before ordering any bcoz it’s real salty and there is some weird taste in it like some chemical taste whichever just ruined the whole plates and the macaroni is over cooked.

Manga Susu :-

This is a typical and the most common drink in Malaysia, Mango milk. Still there is a room for improvement. Lesser milk and more mango in it pls. There is only milk taste and very little hint of mango. The toppings is great.

Taro whipped cream and cincau and oreo topped :-

This is the only satisfied drink that i can no complaints of but only one thing. Probably less ice is recommended and lesser sweet.

Hopefully the owner do take the compliment seriously and improve better.

In the end we couldn’t finish this whole platter where normally we can finish it up...
