D' Maharaanees Banana Leaf — Restaurant in Sepang

We had an absolutely terrible experience at this restaurant. When we placed our order with a waiter who didn’t even seem to understand us, we asked multiple times if he got it right, and he reassured us each time. After waiting for 15 minutes without even receiving our drinks, we followed up again, and the waiter reassured us that our order was on its way. We only ordered 3 banana leaf meals.

Another 15 minutes later (a total of 30 minutes waiting), a different waiter came to retake our order, saying they never received it in the first place! My husband confronted the original waiter, who claimed to have passed our order to another staff member but couldn’t even identify who it was. The confusion and lack of accountability were absurd and totally unacceptable.

We were left hungry and furious, especially with two kids in tow. What made it worse was that the restaurant wasn’t even busy—there were only two other families who had already finished eating!

We left without eating because we couldn’t tolerate the incompetence any longer. This was one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend this...

The one and only Indian restaurant in Taman Meranti Puchong, you can get decent breakfast here, their paal apam not recommended but puri, idli, thosai and roti canai is good to go, they also have some other varieties like indian kuih , nasi lemak and mehoon, their lunch is good, better to go earlier as their items are limited, I recommend their bamboo non veg chicken/mutton biryani, and also their vegetarian chicken/mutton, its really good.. beverages are okay as well but not great as it used to be since the tea master is different now, he needs to improvise.. sometimes their waiters serve fast, but sometimes very slow, so depends, Overall is not a bad Indian restaurant, for the restaurant owner that read my review, you have more room to improve actually, if people leaving bad reviews, they might be true, you need to start looking into it rather defending yourself, because they dont want to know you have difficulties with getting a good cook and staffs, they want to get good food for what they are paying, end of the day, Customer is...

1. Friendly and fast service 👎🏼
2. There is no itemised billing, neither the cashier supplied us a clear bill of what we have consumed in this outlet
3. RM6.50 per banana leaf rice meal, so for two which we ordered, would be RM13, followed by 1 masala tea, ice lemon tea, 1 chicken varauval, 1 fried fish and 1 mutton masala, the total was RM46.60. When asked for the breakdown, the cashier did not understand English nor Bahasa Malaysia

5. Never have I eaten at any outlet with such bad payment system, which customer could not make up what we have consumed
6. The food does not taste at all good, it is absolutely shame that the restaurant could even brand itself specialise in banana leaf rice
