A&W Sungai Buloh — Restaurant in Shah Alam

Came on 1/2/2022 around 10.30pm. No one manning the counter. One lady who came earlier than me tried to call the young man who seemed to be sleeping by the end of the counter to no avail. Inside, there seemed to be 2 people who were cutting veggies and should be able to hear to our callings but we were ignored as well.

After around 2 mins by shouting more loudly, 2 veggie cutting staff turned around and called for the cashier. Cashier came soon after. Thankfully order was done quickly and nicely. When order was taken, could hear someone ordering cashier to initiate counter closing.

Counter was full of used glasses and there was a pile of rubbish in a big plastic bag by the counter. Waffle makers were a mess of batter. It was catastrophic.

Why the long essay? Honestly two things can be improved:

1. if you are understaffed, please add staff for the sake of the restaurant’s image
2. for sleeping staff and 2 veggie cutting staff, please observe better customer care. It is disappointing when we were ignored when we were...

One of their male staff. Very rude. When i want to order he give us index finger as sign “wait a minute @ shhssss” instead of that signage why don’t he say excuse me, wait a moment @ sekejap ye cik. Then we silent for a moment. Then after a few minutes. My husband ask him can we order? He say im waiting for so long you guys to order. Both of us like what?? We wait for you and you say you wait for so long waiting our order. I told him.. when we enter the restaurant, no one greeting us welcome. And when want to order just now you give sign like this ☝🏽, we wait n now you tell us you waiting for so long???? That guy “menjawab” I don’t want to disturb your privacy when you read n choose the menu. I raise the voice and say no such thing. You just made that sign☝🏽 and now you say you don’twant to disturb our privacy. “Wehhhh aku lapar dah ni wehhh”… he don’t say apologise. My husband cool me down. We order and eat. I recently visited the A&W in Sungai Buloh and I have to say, it was a great experience. The restaurant was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and helpful.

I ordered the waffle and it was delicious. The waffle was crispy and cooked to perfection, and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. I also tried their famous root beer float and it was the perfect treat to cool down on a hot day.

The restaurant had plenty of seating, both inside and outside, and the atmosphere was relaxed and casual. There were also plenty of options for families, with a playground and a kids' menu.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this A&W to anyone looking for a great burger and a fun atmosphere. The prices were also reasonable, making it a great value for the quality of food and service. I look forward to...
