I recently had the pleasure of dining at Malaya Grill and tried both their Nasi Arab Ayam (Arabian Chicken Rice) and Nasi Arab Kambing (Arabian Lamb Rice). Overall, the experience was delightful and definitely worth sharing.
Starting with the Nasi Arab Ayam, the chicken was exceptionally tender and flavorful. Each bite was juicy and well-seasoned, indicating that it had been marinated and cooked with great care. The rice itself was fragrant, fluffy, and perfectly complemented the savory chicken. The balance of spices was just right—rich but not overpowering—which made every mouthful enjoyable.
As for the Nasi Arab Kambing, the lamb was equally impressive. It was cooked to perfection, tender enough to easily cut through yet retaining a hearty, satisfying texture. The rich, aromatic spices infused into the lamb enhanced its natural flavor beautifully. The dish was served with the same aromatic rice, which paired well with the robust taste of the lamb, creating a harmonious blend of flavors.
The portions were generous, making the meal both filling and satisfying. The presentation was simple but inviting, and the overall ambiance of the restaurant made the dining experience comfortable and pleasant.
In summary, Malaya Grill offers authentic, flavorful Arabian-style dishes with high-quality ingredients and skillful preparation. Whether you prefer chicken or lamb, their nasi arab dishes are worth trying. I will definitely return to try more items...
Read moreEngaged them for catering for a community event. Told them that dinner starts at 6pm. And the person who took in the assignment a week before told us their people will be at the venue at 5pm to set up on the actual day. On the actual day they were nowhere to be seen at 5.30pm. Called and called also no one picked up the phone. When they finally did pick up, they say the team is on the way. All the girl said was “Jap jap” and slam the phone down. So bloody rude. After 15mins still no one in sight. Called again and no one picked up anymore. Mind you the venue was 8mins away from their restaurant only but they only arrived at 6.10pm. The crew told us they were told that dinner starts at 7pm. And also gave us their unhappy faces like we forced them to work. We were all so furious and their crew just simply placed the up the food. And the guest had to eat cold food. We ordered a grill lamb as well but it was so bad because it was served cold. King of Lamb? More like King of Disappointment. Please just close your restaurant if you’re not serious about it.
Never again for this restaurant. Really horrible service and horrible food. I ban this place and rate it negative 100 stars. Shame on the owner and their staffs who...
Read moreDear Malaya Grill,
I recently attended an iftar at Malay Grill with a group of four (CR3). Having previously visited your first outlet near Rosyam Mart, I had certain expectations. However, I would like to share my feedback on the experience:
Food: The portion sizes were quite small and insufficient for the number of pax. That said, the chicken and lamb were well-prepared and flavorful. However, I was disappointed that our drink was changed from syrup to orange without prior notice. As I do not drink orange juice, this was inconvenient. Overall, I would rate the food 3/5 stars.
Service: Unfortunately, the service was below expectations. Even with only two minutes remaining before azan, our food had yet to be served. The staff appeared busy, yet the food was still delayed. If staffing is an issue, I strongly recommend hiring additional help, especially during Ramadan, to ensure smoother operations. Based on this experience, I would rate the service 1/5 stars.
Conclusion: Given the service delays and portion sizes, I do not foresee returning to this outlet. However, I hope the management will take this feedback constructively to improve future dining experiences.
Thank you...
