MENU VERDICT

1. Nasi Ayam • The chicken rice is served with its complete set of sides, sauces and condiments. The soup has fishballs which is claimed to be made in-house and they're quite good. The soup is not bland like typical chicken rice soup. The rice is soft and smell good. The chicken slices that are neatly served on a separate plate are tender. 3 type of chicken can be choose from; roosted, BBQ or steamed. The overall portion is decent. Highly recommended.

THE GOOD : • The place is clean and has plenty of seating availability, indoor and outdoor • Efficient service by the staff and order get delivered quickly • Quite wide selection of food besides chicken rice like wantan mee • Payment can be made via cash and e-wallet • Good selection of lauk (side dishes) to choose from • Online food delivery and self pickup are available via GrabFood and Foodpanda

[Great food, bad experience] Today is the second time I ever visited this restaurant, the food tastes really good, especially the fried wan tan, it was really out of my expectation, as well as the attitude of the waitress🙃she totally ruined my whole cantik mood after having such a great meal. She was rude since the first time I visited, taking back the menu like a genting ah long, with less aggression. When I went to the counter to pay, she just told me the amount then terus left, when she back, she gave me the despise look without saying anything. Hello, I owe you 1 million ke? My hati really sakit after being served macam ni I would have rated the food as 4.5 star, but with this kind of serving attitude, honestly 3 stars is already overrated. Went here by accident since it is close to the workplace, and was just trying my luck with their food.

At a glance, I thought Anak Kampung would serve kampung style foods --- buffet style. But I was wrong, but I got wrong quite wonderfully.

Their Hainan Chicken Rice with its condiment was superb. Rice tastes great, flavorful and fragrant as a chicken rice should be. The roasted chicken was incredible, soft and nicely roasted skin.
