So this was my first time here, and let’s just say the adventure started even before the food. The parking space was so limited I felt like I was competing in Fast & Furious: Parking Wars. By the time I squeezed in, I already deserved a free dessert. Just kidding. The menu came in the form of a gigantic plastic board—I kid you not, it looked like something you’d use in playschool. Trying to balance it while flipping through was like wrestling with a stubborn door. I almost asked for a crane to help hold it up. We ordered quite a spread: charcoal burger, nachos cheese, chicken chop rice, cheese fries, and chicken cheese. If you sense a pattern already… you’re right. The chef here must really love dairy, because it felt like I was attending a secret cult meeting of The Brotherhood of Cheese.
Taste-wise, it was very generic. Honestly, it felt like someone pressed “Ctrl + C, Ctrl + V” on every dish and pasted cheese on top. Don’t get me wrong, I like cheese, but after the fifth bite, my taste buds were filing a complaint: “Can we get a new flavor in here, please?” The fries were drowning in cheese and sos, like they were reenacting Titanic. We tried saving a few but gave up halfway—it was a soggy crime scene. But here’s the plot twist: I had the sizzling mee chicken, and it was actually good! The hot plate gave it a kick, the sauce worked, and for once, I wasn’t tasting cheese disguised as everything else.
Then came the busker performance while we were eating. At first, I thought, “Oh nice, some live music.” But after a few songs, it felt more like we were trapped in an accidental karaoke night. It was loud enough that having a quiet supper or chit-chatting was almost impossible. Great if you want a concert with your meal, but if you’re hoping for peaceful conversations—forget it. Definitely not the place to hang out and chat. The price, though, felt high for what we got. When your food tastes this average, the bill should at least come with a motivational quote. Drinks were alright. I played it safe with just warm water, and honestly, it was probably the highlight because it washed down the cheesy overload.
Overall, the experience was pretty mediocre. The place isn’t bad if you’re a cheese fanatic or if you’ve recently lost your ability to taste variety. But for me, it’s one of those “been there, tried it, don’t need to come...
Read moreFirst time coming here, and the bad review I read before regarding the food taste is warranted. I ordered crispy chicken spaghetti, which basically just a glorified bolognaise spaghetti with fried chicken chop in batter. And I have to tell you this, the spaghetti sauce are too damn sweet and it reminds me of the sauce of Jollibee spaghetti with sausages which suitable for kiddos. And they are far more cheaper than what I'm eating. For that price, I expect the sauce at least up to standard (maybe not like them Italian's) but balanced flavoring of sweet, sour and salt. For my sis, she ordered Mr. Krab burger, and well at least it looked like the picture. Portion wise is okay for the price tag given. Whether the patty is pre-made or freshly made is unknowable because they neither claim to be so, and it tasted like meat and not what we thought aka crab. The sauce for the burger are somewhat sweet (sweet seems to be on trend with this shop) and like your ramly burger tepi jalan, sos is banjir. =.=.....
But the saving grace was the many additional food stall around the burger joint. The satay albeit expensive, it was good but the sauce need to be improved. Not so peanuty and lemak like your usual peanut sauce suppose to be. The otak otak weren't bad either. Both satay and otak otak are made upon order so everything is hot which we value greatly. The price (probably because of the place; beef 1.3/ chicken 1.1 and otak-otak 1.0)
The drinks... Well this you must choose properly. My sis bought mango soda (regular sized) for 7.9 but I got ice lemon tea for 8.9 and the size is xl. So yeah.. Mine is more of value because of the size.. So yeah choose properly. Free iced water (self service) and sauces to your likings. And if your birthday is the day you come, you're eligible for a free burger and if you're preggo (pregnant) every Tuesday and Wednesday you'll get free ice cream.
Will I come again? Maybe. I wanna try the char kuey teow... And maybe corn dog and the stuffed fried tofu.
Until...
Read moreREAD BEFORE VISITING. Worst food I had since I have been in Malayisa. I came here on holiday from U.K and this I'll take you no Particular restaurant dissapointed me. The food was served cold. I ordered a burger and it looked amazing at first glance but as soon as i bite into it, it was like it has been stored in a fridge. The burger was not more than 5 degrees from my Professional opionion as I myself worked in Restaurant Management for more than 10 years.
Food in the U.K legally needs to reach 63 degress before it can be sold and if a customer raises an issue about the food quality then staff should investigate, if found to be true then replace the food or give money back with a coupon or direct money.
I asked my wife who is malaysian to ask the server if it is suppose to be like that, some sort of cold burger. Perhaps thats how its meant to be i thought, giving them the benefit of the Doubt.
The server said it just been cooked and there is no way thats true unless your oven is broken. I even asked him touch the burger and the server touched it and just laughed in my face then walked off.
I will tell you what i think Personally happened In my opinion and professional experience.
Its late, young workers and they want an easy life, easy work, what they do is cook burger meat fillets extra keep it some where. when they get an order, they put it together just ad sauces.
This is a bad practise, all need retraining and monitored.
I lost money tonight. I refused To eat the burgers to prevent myself getting sick.
If you want to get food poisoning this is the great place to go if you don't want to get food poisoning don't go to this restaurant.
Very Disappointed and I hope the owner sees this message And take the correct actions to resolve this.
