Secret Recipe — Restaurant in Shah Alam

I had a terrible experience at this Secret Recipe restaurant. I visited on 9th November around 2 PM.

When I asked the waiter to clean the baby chair, he responded, “Normally, parents bring wipes and clean it themselves.” That response was completely unacceptable.

Later, the same waiter asked my children to keep quiet because he wanted to concentrate on taking our order. It’s inappropriate for a waiter to tell children to keep quiet unless the parents themselves instruct them.

One of the dishes we ordered was Penang asam laksa. We waited a long time for it, only to find out the waiter had forgotten to place the order. He should have repeated the order to confirm it. When the laksa finally arrived within 5 minutes after reminding him, I asked for “petis.” The same waiter said they no longer serve petis. However, I had just ordered it earlier today at another branch, and they had it.

To make matters worse, the Penang Assam laksa’s pineapple was rotten and had a bad smell. I asked the waiter to taste it, and he admitted it was indeed smelly. All they said was, “Next time, we won’t make the same mistake again,” but they still charged us for the dish. The chef didn’t even come out to apologize.

I will never visit this branch again. Absolutely...

Ini kali pertama & terakhir kami datang ke sini. Kami seramai 8 org.

sejurus kami masuk saje ke dalam kedai, staff melihat kami macam "ALIEN" je. Saya minta utk sambung meja, staff bernama Raqib menghampiri kami. Kami diberi menu & memberitahu kami samada kami tahu order menggunakan scan QR. Kami kata ye kami tahu. Jadi, kami meneruskan order melalui scan QR & tunggu order sampai.

Raqib datang ke meja kami & bertanya samada kami dah order atau belum. Kami kata yang kami sudah order. Dia tanya kami secara sinis..."ada order makanan berat tak?" Kami jawab "Tiada makanan berat. Hanya menu minum petang iaitu minuman & desserts sahaja". Dia ulang jawapan kami.."Ooo, tiada makanan berat ye. Hanya desserts ye?". Sebab order kami tak masuk katanya. Padahal dia dah hantar secawan white coffee yang seperti tidak bancuh sempurna (ada dalam gambar). Macam mana order tak masuk kalau dia dah hantar coffee tu. Tapi, alasan order tak masuk sebab kami tiada order makanan berat amat tidak boleh diterima akal. Kami order bukan sedikit ye walaupun "HANYA" set minum petang.

Raqib mula hantar minuman kami 1 per 1 & ada minuman yang tumpah2 di atas piring & comot. 3 lagi minuman kami dihantar oleh staff lelaki lain menggunakan tray & lebih cermat.

makanan kami pun dihantar 1 per 1 oleh Raqib sehingga selesai. Ada dilampirkan gambar, kanak2 boleh dapat 1 scoop ice cream jika belanja RM40++. Raqib tanya nak ice cream sekarang ke...kami kata ye nak sekarang perisa chocolate. Tapi dia tak hantar langsung.

suami pergi ke kaunter untuk buat pembayaran (gambar resit ada di atas) & tanya juga pasal ice cream tu. Raqib jawab "patutnya minta tadi sebelum bayar. Selepas bayar dah tak valid untuk ice cream percuma tu." Kami sangat kecewa dengan jawapan dia sedangkan kami dah minta ice cream tersebut semasa Raqib hantar makanan kami. Memanglah hanya 1 scoop ice cream tidak sebesar mana, tapi kejujuran pada pelanggan amat besar maknanya pada pihak pengurusan & pelanggan.

Manager outlet Secret Recipe Bukit Jelutong, tolonglah brief staff anda & monitor staff anda betul2 terutamanya yang bernama Raqib. Bukannya saje nak buat cerita dongeng di sini, tapi ini benar2 yang terjadi petang tadi. Kami perhatikan dia tadi, semasa ambil order pelanggan lain pun dia menguap sebesar2nya tanpa menutup mulut.

I’m deeply disappointed with my experience at Bukit Jelutong’s Secret Recipe . The service was incredibly slow & unresponsive . The staff seemed confused & inattentive . It took ages just to get basic requests fulfilled .

Despite telling the staff twice that I did not want my meal to be spicy & explicitly asked for no chili flakes , they served the same dish on a new plate rather than preparing a new one . This lack of attention to detail was frustrating & it made me feel like they simply didn’t care about my request .

To top it off , one of the staff members was rude to my partner . It was a completely unpleasant experience from start to finish . Definitely not what I expected from Secret Recipe & I wouldn’t recommend this...
