Sips & Bites Cafe — Restaurant in Shah Alam

This is my go to place whenever I feel like eating pesto pasta. Their pesto is really herby and "kao" taste, and they are not stingy to coat their pasta with it. I lost count of how many times I ate here, and it is still consistently good. We always come after our weekend morning walk.

The big breakfast is also of good quality. My Americano is also good.

Another thing I like is their cakes. We usually have rum and raisins which is super good.

Waffle could be crispier, and the ice cream taste like not very vanilla, probably almond?

Fish and chips batter are those on the tender side, not as crispy as I like. The white sauce with green speckles in it is delicious!

All is good, but the service of one of the male crew (a little shorter, with black specs) is a little unfriendly. Maybe smile a little more, relax your tone of voice. It is a pity that your food and environment is this good but service spoils it. Just...

Cafe looks inviting from the outside. Once you get in you'll be greeted by the friendly staff.

This time I tried the butter chicken and I was surprised in many ways. First of all, it looks delicious. The sunny side up was very close to my personal definition of perfect. The butter chicken was the most buttery butter chicken I ever had and it probably spoilt me for life. I wish there would have been more Butter chicken souce on my plate. The salad was ok and the rice was..rice, nothing special - had better rice before.

The tea was really great, but that's what I expected from this very tea brand.

The service was very quick, attentive and friendly.

Parking is usually plenty available.

The only downside for me is the location - the cafe had a big problem with echo on the inside (nothing on the walls to absorb the echo) so it gets noisy very quickly.

I love the hot matcha latte here. But I didn’t enjoy the big breakfast much. The sausage was so salty, and the beans were added with oregano herbs so tasted weird for me. And bread was kinda soggy and cold. I left them unfinished unfortunately and felt regret for wasting the food. But I was not able to finish them.

Deco was kinda nice, and you can order from the table. But the sounds insulation was so poor, and it became too unbearable noisy. The sound bounced so much until it was so difficult to hold a proper conversation without straining our ears and talk even louder to be heard.

The moment the tables and chairs were dragged on the floor, the sound really made my ears so uncomfortable.
