Hidden Gem in Serdang Lama – Anchovy-Rich Curry Mee & More!
I’ve been a regular at this humble noodle stall located along Jalan Besar, Serdang Lama. What makes their Curry Mee stand out is its unique anchovy-rich broth — unlike the usual santan-heavy versions. The soup is 清甜 (light and naturally sweet), flavorful yet not overwhelming. A rare find!
Their dried Wantan Mee is also worth a shoutout — springy noodles perfectly coated in savory dark sauce and seasoning. The flavors balance really well.
They usually open around 6:45 AM and focus on noodles in the morning. Around 12 PM, they start serving Pan Mee, which honestly blew me away. The soup is hearty, and the fried minced pork topping adds great texture and taste. You can also order fried wantan and marinated pork, both of which pair well with the noodles.
The stall is run by two sisters, and while they’re friendly, it can get hectic during peak hours since there's no formal ordering system — you’ll need to place your order at the counter, and they’ll memorize it. Be patient, especially on Saturdays, when it’s busiest. Closed on Sundays.
Prices are very reasonable:

Medium RM8
Big RM9
Only downside: parking can be tough, especially with nearby factories. But the food is definitely...
