RG Restaurant — Restaurant in Malé Atoll

Hands down one of the best places in the island - we came 3 times. Away from the fancy flashy places on Bikini Beach, which charge you twice for half the amount, this restaurant really meets expectations. There are always locals which is a good sign, but it’s also much more put together than Byyoni or Bandaha, with a big clean upper floor, good ventilation and MUCH faster service.

Staff doesn’t speak much English but they’re friendly and fast, and the amount of food is definitely worth the price. We paid 55 rufiyaa for the best breakfast Mashuni & Roshi, which came with a fried egg and watermelon. Their mango milkshake is like nothing else.

RG Restaurant has a pleasant setting with an upper deck that's great for relaxing. The staff are friendly and welcoming. We even been given a free cake for dessert!

We tried the Grilled Tuna Steak with Garlic Rice and Vegetables based on online recommendations, but unfortunately, the flavors weren’t to our liking—the fish was a bit overcooked and too sour for us.

I had such a great time at RG Restaurant in Thulusdhoo! The place has a really cozy vibe, and the staff were super friendly. But the highlight for me? The Tom Yum soup!
