We dined at Sea.Fire.Salt during our honeymoon stay at Anantara Dhigu. The restaurant is beautifully situated over the water, offering a calm and elegant setting for a romantic dinner. Although we visited after sunset, the ambience remained serene, and we were delighted to spot small marine life swimming beneath the deck, adding a quiet charm to the evening.
The food was generally flavourful and well-presented. One of the highlights was the grilled lobster, which was fresh and cooked perfectly. It was accompanied by a bold and aromatic Maldivian spicy sauce that added a distinctive local touch to the dish, elevating the entire experience. The seafood selections clearly reflected the restaurant’s emphasis on quality ingredients.
Service was warm and professional throughout the evening. The staff offered thoughtful recommendations and ensured that we were comfortable and well taken care of during our meal.
One aspect that could be improved was the T-bone steak. While it was cooked to the correct doneness, parts of it were quite tough and difficult to cut. To improve the dining experience, especially in a fine-dining setting, it would be helpful if the kitchen could pre-slice the steak or serve it in more manageable portions.
In summary, Sea.Fire.Salt offers a tranquil overwater setting, quality seafood, and attentive service. With a few enhancements in dish execution and guest convenience, it could easily become a standout culinary destination...
Read moreThis overwater restaurant specializes in the catch of the day, and as someone from a coastal country, I can truly appreciate how fresh everything was! Watched the fishermen bring in the day's catch and selected my own red snapper - grilled simply with local spices and served with traditional Maldivian accompaniments. The contrast to our heavy Norwegian fish preparations was refreshing - everything here is light, tropical, and perfectly suited to the climate. The sunset views over the Indian Ocean are spectacular, reminding me of our midnight sun but in reverse with these incredible orange and pink skies. At $85 for the fish plus sides, it's pricey but reasonable for resort dining. The wine list even had some excellent Norwegian aquavit that paired surprisingly well with the...
Read moreThis review is for both restaurants located in the same building. Terrazzo, upstairs, and Sea, Fire, Salt, downstairs. It appears that the same set of chefs prepare meals for both restaurants, Terrazzo is Italian themed and Sea, Fire Salt contemporary. Ambience is pleasant, most table have a view of the sea with cooling sea breeze. The hand made ravioli was excellent, air-dried prescuitto, cold cuts, oven baked garlic, the breads, oilive oil, balsamic vinegar, etc were all authentic and of excellent quality. The waiting staff and service has been consistently very good, personable, knowledgeable and efficient. The desserts were outstanding, the perfect ending to all the meals we...
