Dining at the Sunset Restaurant is truly one of the highlights of staying at Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi. Whether it’s breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the experience is consistently fantastic — not just because of the quality of the food, but because of the care and hospitality of the staff.

We’ve now returned to the resort for the third time, and the restaurant continues to impress us with its diverse and rotating menus. Each day features new themes and cuisines from around the world — we’ve enjoyed Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Maldivian, Mexican, Mediterranean, and more. It never feels repetitive. Even the breakfast buffet has variety and balance, from tropical fruits and fresh juices to Western and Asian comfort foods.

What makes it even more special is the thoughtfulness of the service. On our very first day back, one of the waiters greeted us with a smile and said, “Welcome back — same drink as before?” That moment alone made us feel seen and remembered. It’s a rare kind of hospitality that truly stays with you.

The drink selection is also worth mentioning — an extensive variety of cocktails and mocktails, with some tropical and creative twists. You can always try something new, but we also loved that the staff remembered our favorite picks and brought them without us even needing to ask.

From the setting to the staff to the flavors on the plate, every meal feels like a mini celebration. You’re surrounded by ocean views, palm trees, and genuine smiles — it’s hard to imagine a more peaceful and joyful way to dine.

They must still invent words to describe the staff/waiters and food here. Every meal so far has been a smorgasbord for my tastebuds. Unfortunately I left with a bit of a bitter taste in my mouth when after ordering a beer and glass if wine with my last lunch on the day if departure I was told only afterwards by the waiter "management" decided it was not part of the full board and I had to pay separately for it. Seriously, could they not tell us this before we ordered to make an informed decision? I left the beer on the table untouched as I lost my...

The restaurant is excellent with always fresh dishes served in wide services. You can watch there sharks from the terrace while having your meal, especially during dinner. The whole staff is very pleasant and always smile wishing to satisfy...
