We ended here by coincidence and to start with we took the spaghetti octopus to share as a starter it was huge and it tasted very good. As mains we took the pork shank and the horse meat - unfortunatley 3 items on the menu were sold out. We ended up taking the food take away as although everything was very good as i said portions are huge. The person serving us - Aiden is the best and we loved chatting with him, its always nice finding maltese people working and speaking to you in maltese. The only reason why i didnt give 5 star was due to the desert as we ordered the Krema tal-qubbajd and instead we were served a cake with chocolate syrup. This is by far the best traditional maltese food I had throughout my time visiting Malta. We initially tried to book in Valetta but they were fully booked so came to Mgarr instead.

We had no clue what to order from the menu with it being very extensive but was given a run through of each option by both the chef, manager and other waiters when I had further questions. We were very impressed by the level of customer service throughout, especially from Jeremy.

The attention to detail and the quality of food reminds me of a Michellin guide style restaurant.

I would strongly recommend all travellers to Malta who are seeking authentic/traditional food to come to restaurant - the food here massively outweighs the food we had at other restaurants throughout Malta in both flavour and quality

Decent food at decent prices. Didn't think the food was amazing, but maybe i chose the wrong menu item. The main downside we experienced here was that on one of the items, the menu clearly stated there would be fresh mint on the dish; when the dish arrived, it was very clear that there was no such mint on it. We complained to the staff and one of them came back with some fresh mint, but commented on how we just couldn't see the mint that was on there. It was very passive aggressive and later, a manager approached us and asked if there was anything he could do to resolve the issue.
