Simply the best place for those pursuing traditional Maltese cuisine prepared with a lot of dedication by rare Maltese elderly masters in a simple yet authentic Maltese environment. I have been visiting this unbeatable friendly restaurant for ages and I was never let down so I can't recommend it enough. I know how to cook well myself so I know what I'm talking about. Hurry up, relax and pay a visit to see for yourself before it's too late because such places are in a constant battle against expenses and resources!! Of course ask for Fenek (fried rabbit) and horse meat. Ask for spaghetti with rabbit or horse meat sauce as starter. Typical village eatery offering traditional Maltese cuisine. Food is genuine and I recommend it as I've often eaten there a number if times. Unfortunately, service is a tad chaotic and takes long or orders/requests are misunderstood or go unheeded, which is a pity as it does not do justice to the place. But if you're patient and want a good meal, this is one such place you should visit. Ambience is clean but the decor is spartan and noisy especially on weekends when it's usually open and gets busy. Not the type of place one should go for a quiet romantic evening but is ideal for a group of people who want to get together in an informal place where food and catching up are the main objectives. Again , Maltese local restaurant tent to not be friendly for tourists . They ignore us ,no one come to take order ,we wait more than 1 hour for the food ,rest of Maltese people came after us and they already finished food ,we were still waiting . We asked 3 times , finally food came ,but we were so disappointed , fried rabbit too dry and tasteless , hourse meat stew really really salty , I couldn't finish all . Homemade white wine was okay . Dessert we order pudding ,but over cooked too bitter and dry .
