I adored this pub. I first went in during the day at the end of September 2021 with a bleeding knee because I had fallen on the costal path. There was a lovely lady there who gave me the massive amount of sympathy that I needed (!) We went back a week later and the lovely lady recognized us. The food was a humble ham and cheese toastie - but a MUST EAT IN GOZO. Sonia, our hostess is a ray of light and her Zeppi's is crammed full of hospitality. Surely one of the best bars in the world. Intimate, friendly, generous, romantic. Great music too.

We spent several evenings in there during our stay in Qala in April 2015. One night, there was an amazing, charming guitarist who seemed to play all our favourite songs. I was so moved by the whole vibe of the place, and how happy it made us feel, I proposed to my girlfriend right there in the bar and, three months later, we are married.
