Stumbled across this little bar shack by the jetty during a walk along the coast in Malta, and I honestly can’t stop thinking about it. It’s one of those places you don’t plan for—but once you’re there, you never want to leave.
This place has that effortlessly cool vibe you can’t manufacture. Just a few wooden stools, sun-worn tables, the sound of the sea lapping against the jetty, and a view of the water that feels like something off a postcard. Whether the sun’s setting or you’re catching the midday breeze, it’s the perfect escape from the busy tourist spots.
Locals and travelers all seem to mingle here with the same purpose: chill, sip, and soak up the atmosphere. No rush, no pressure—just good vibes and sea air.
The drink menu is small but spot-on. Ice-cold beers, crisp white wine, Aperol spritz, and a few classic cocktails made fresh behind the little counter. I had a mojito that was honestly one of the best I’ve had in a long time—minty, strong, and super refreshing after a hot day.
They even had some local liqueurs and small-batch spirits for anyone wanting to try something Maltese, which I thought was a really nice touch.
There’s something really magical about sitting by the water with a drink in hand, no agenda, just the sun, the breeze, and the soft sounds of boats bobbing nearby. This little shack may not be flashy, but it’s full of soul. Sometimes the simplest places leave the...
Read moreStumbled across Hidden Jym on a seaside wander and honestly, it felt like unlocking a cheat code. This place has everything you want from a coastal bar — stunning views, chilled atmosphere, and a level of charm that’s impossible to fake.
The drinks were spot on (the cocktails especially — dangerously easy to sip), and the food was far better than you’d expect from a “hidden” spot. Fresh, full of flavour, and clearly made with love. You can tell someone behind the scenes really cares.
What really made it though? The energy. The staff were warm and welcoming, the music hit just right, and the sunset view? Unreal. It’s the kind of place where time slows down, and you forget the world exists beyond that sea breeze.
Hidden Jym isn’t just a seaside stop — it’s a destination. A proper hidden heavyweight. Can’t wait to go...
Read morewe actually went on the boat tour to comino from here
lovely people, especially Ian, the man who piloted the boat.
We left at 8.30 on a speedboat, which was very fun. Also it just happened that it was only our group at that time so we had the whole boat to ourselves. We visited a few lovely caves.
We got to the Blue Lagoon at around 9.30 which was very good because it was pretty empty so we could get a sunbed and swim in peace. The part of the lagoon on the left, where there’s usually cruise ships was empty and we were the first ones there.
He picked us up at 14.55 from the blue lagoon.
Highly recommend the tour, as it is pretty cheap (45 euro per person ), fast transport, you get to visit plenty of caves and be told all about...
