I had lunch in this restaurant within few days from inauguration last summer. Since then I was there about 4 or 5 times. The staff is polite in general and the food is nicely presented. I tried several starters and desserts. I tried the deep fried mille feuille potato starter twice. I find that the white sauce lacks taste and does not enrich the dish. Last time the deep fried potatoes were too salty. I tried the lobster bun. It was too salty but interesting. I enjoyed the beef tartare. When I had the pasta with tomato sauce and lobster, the tomato sauce was delicate and tasty. However the lobster was dry at the edge and it got stucj between my teeth, which gave me hard time during the meal. Recently, I enjoyed the tart tatin with mqared ice cream and ordered extra two scoops of ice cream.
However, I am writing today because of two incidents I had already at that restaurant. First time was Sunday after last Christmas. I came in the morning in order to have a peaceful breakfast in a place where it is normal to expect some peace given the standing. However, as soon as I sat, I got unpleasantly surprised by a dog barking which was a in company of a group of several clients. I talked about that with the manager who talked to the clients but the dog barked at least twice again. I had to talk again to the manager as I could not put up with that and told him I do not feel I am having value for the money I am going to pay in such a situation and suggested the group should be outside if they want to keep their dog. The manager tried to call the owner but got no reply then he suggested that my breakfast would be on the house. I accepted the offer. He assured me that the restaurant is not pet friendly and that such a thing would not happen again. Yet today I went in order to have a dessert at 5pm and as I was waiting for my tarte tatin, two clients came with their dog and the waiter let them in. I was shocked and I told the lady who was the manager that this has been discussed with her colleague previously and I do not feel comfortable with that. She said initially it is not allowed then after a few seconds she said "except if it is a small dog" and after the clients left she let them back in. I told her I would like to cancel as this is not ok for me and she neutrally said ok like it makes no difference for her. I find it outrageous that she had total disregard for the comfort of a client waiting for his order just in order to let a dog in. It is obvious that what matters in this restaurant is just to have a smooth display to align themselves with the fake classy surface of many guests dining out there. The manager who was there displayed no sensitivity, which is a deal breaker. If this is the King's way, I must say the king is corrupt. I am giving two stars because the lack of consideration I witnessed today is...

We were in for a late lunch, and it wasn't too crowded. Did the spaghetti & shrimp and a burger. Both were really nice - burger had an excellent flavor, the fries were some of the best I've had here. Finished with the saffron panna cotta which was subtle and really good.
We were recommended, and tried the maple bacon old fashioned cocktails - which was exceptionally crafted.
Will definitely come back to try the brunch and...
