La Fourchette Restaurant — Restaurant in Isle Mauritius

I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Fourchette and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a cozy atmosphere. The decor was modern and inviting, which made me feel right at home. Beside with a nice live music at the background 🥰

The menu was diverse and offered a wide variety of options, which made it hard to choose just one dish. After much deliberation and with Valerie help, finally settled on grilled fish and my friend took lamb braised and we were not disappointed. The food was exceptional - bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection.

What really stood out to me was the exceptional service. The waitstaff were attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They were always there to offer suggestions and ensure that my dining experience was nothing short of perfection.

I had a wonderful experience at La Fourchette and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal in a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. I will definitely go back as always ❤️ Keep up the good job Sonah, Joseph...

The environment was lovely with live music and the ambience was top notch. With that out of the way, a couple of things went down that soured the mood.

Firstly, the waiter mistakenly took a food order as salmi lamb instead of salmon. When the food arrived and question, there was no mention of an apology.

Secondly, my partner ordered fillet de dorade and asked explicitly that the sauce be put aside. Predictably, it came slathered with sauce. We sent it back and did not receive words of apologies either.

Minor inconveniences are inappropriate dull knives to cut through honey lamb on bone, too salty braised lamb and a request for room temperature water came chilled.

All in all, the atmosphere is good for a chill night out but don't expect much for the main event for food...

Not worth it. Booked Sunday brunch with friends. Lunch buffet started at 12 instead of stated 11am. Had to wait for them to clean. Restaurant seats and sofas are dirty. Coffee machine was not working. And the person in charge was pretty dismissive about both start time and non availability of coffee and other items mentioned in buffet. The food items were limited and stale. Not a lot options for vegetarians. Waste of time, money and energy. For the price they charge, better to eat at a fancy restaurant.
