Both my husband and I are actually regular customers of Riche-Terre mall and we spend our time eating takeout food. We ordered from Mumbai Chaat many times since the last couple of months. The lady who is usually on the register is an absolute angel and really welcoming. Plus, knowing her regular customers, she always does whatever she can to get our food as perfect as she possibly can. However, there was once a guy who LITERALLY insulted my husband, who despite having said that he would pay more if need be, but to just put some more rice and add some more onions in the salad. That guy just simply started to belittling my husband while serving him along the way. The fact that my husband is Bangladeshi doesn't mean that he doesn't work for his money. He works so hard to please himself whenever he gets something to eat, and especially, he now works way more harder to feed me whatever I wish for. Moreover, the salad given to us was spoiled and he didn't even care for a second and just gave it to us. We already complained, but was, once again given spoiled salad- though it wasn't the same person who attended us and took our order. All I want to make known is that NEITHER MY HUSBAND, NOR ANYONE ELSE IN THE WORLD PAYS FOR THEIR FOOD TO GET INSULTED AND BELITTLE, NO MATTER WHO THEY ARE OR WHERE THEY'RE FROM!! I recently purchased food, and I did not receive my payment receipt. The cashier was incredibly rude and dismissive throughout the interaction. When I asked for my receipt, she claimed there was no paper in the machine, but she didn’t even apologize or offer a solution. What made it worse is that she didn’t take the time to check the payment history, which can be easily printed from the machine, and simply clicked “OK.”
When I insisted on getting a receipt, all she did was print her own statement to confirm the payment, but that didn't help me. It's frustrating when basic customer service, like providing a receipt, is handled so poorly. I hope the management takes note of this and improves their staff’s approach to customers in the future.
Also while making a purchase, the cashier did not ask for my consent before using the touch-and-pay feature with my card and said that it was declined. I never allowed this feature on my card, it was just a waste of time! Do ask your customer what type of payment is allowed on the card.
