WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

Waited for about 1h30min to get the food, even when same had already been sent/ordered the day before. Also we waited for 1h to get our drinks; when being served the drinks were filled with ants. There were bugs all over the table. And the prawns not cleaned. The service was poor. And the lady owner even spoke rudely to us. She behaved as if she doesn't care about her customers. Also they didn't have any cocktails or mocktails.

The waiters had to be reminded time to time, what has been ordered when the restaurant was mostly empty. Also items that have not been served to us were added on our bill.

The service of the restaurant is DEFINITELY NOT THE SAME as before. It WORSENED!

Will definitely not go there again.

And if you're planning to go there for an event or a family event, I would definitely NOT RECOMMEND this place.

Royal Choice is my go-to restaurant, and I’ve always been impressed by the quality of the food—it’s simply amazing! As a regular customer, I’ve never had any issues with the taste, freshness, or variety of dishes. The owner is highly professional, which reflects in the overall experience.

The service is generally good, especially with the Mauritian staff who are attentive and welcoming. However, communication can sometimes be challenging with some of the Bangladeshi staff, as they may not fully understand the language, making certain interactions a bit difficult.

One aspect that could be improved is the fill-up form system when dining in. Having to bring the paper for stamps every time I go for additional food or dessert feels inconvenient and could be revised for a smoother experience.

I usually go there for their dim sum on Sundays. I like the fried sweet potato dumpling thing- reminds of my childhood. I think the chicken chasive with salad overpriced as well. We ordered a chicken fried rice as well. In terms of taste it was very good but it's overpriced. You can have it once to taste but i wont recommend to order it at that price. We had only 4 pieces of chicken in it and the amount we had is very less compared to what i remember they used to give us. Been there after a long time but i remember we had a fried noodle last time that could well feed 2 people. Its true that the food is good, taste good but some items are overpriced.
